[Private to crew of the Charming Murderess] [Audio + Possible action]
Okay, so here's the thing.
As that Hornblower guy pointed out, every month people arrive at the same time. No reason to think it's gonna be any different now.
Everyone always appears at the same place.
Right now? Anyone who comes in is going to be wading face first into a firing squad.
I don't like it.
If I see something I don't like, I wreck it.
So, I'm going to do something about it.
If enough of you DON'T want to, I'll find some other way of getting on that island and getting people off that's not going to put this ship in the crossfire. If you all DO want to kick around some of these assholes though, then we need to figure out how we do it without getting sunk ourselves.
I might be Captain, but I'm new to this ship. I'm not expecting you to stick your necks out for me, or anyone else, yet.
But we've got a long road ahead, and we won't get very far on it if we spend all of it hiding. Plus, if any potential help we could get gets constantly stuck on an island crawling with those bastards, that's going to put us in a bind eventually anyway.
Whether you want to be or not, we're labeled as pirates. I say we give 'em reason to worry about that label.

Finally, he is forced to ask a question.]
What be a robot?
voice
Think a giant... mechanical... suit of armor?
Only it's as big as a, um.
Mountain.
voice
Perhaps you'll have to draw me a picture of it. In miniature o' course.
voice
Hm.
[He's not a good artist, Gibbs. He draws into the journal the most sketchy and probably questionable rendition of Gokai-Oh one likely could. It's terrible, but .. maybe it gets the point across...?]
voice
I... see.
[He won't mention the lack of drawing skills to anyone else... and he will politely offering to draw any maps of any place they come across in the future.]
This can go into the air?
voice
It usually needs a dragon to do that in this form.
voice
A dragon? Where do you get yourself one of those?
voice
[He says it with complete and utter sincerity.]
And keys that have their powers inside them.
[That too.]
voice
[Gibbs is quiet a moment as he cocks his head to one side and thinks about it. Given all that he has seen and experienced, wizards might not be too far from it.
Come to think of it, Dragons and magic keys is not nearly so far fetched as this robot thing.
Glancing down at his journal page, he thumbs over the scribbling of the robot, deciding at long last to believe him.]
So these... robots... does everyone have such things where you are from?
voice
Plus most of the other Sentai teams on Earth.
voice
Evil organizations?
[He was a pirate, but a pirate didn't mean evil. Especially when there was a code to follow.]
voice
They're kinda pains in the ass.
voice
Before that I was running Foul of the Navy, what with deserting and all.
voice
I guess what you'd call my ship's "first mate" after me was once a soldier for the same empire we later wrecked.
Funny how that works out.
voice
[His tone becomes a great deal more serious.]
Pirate I may be but I'm still loyal to England, even if I favor the more hospitable city of Tortuga.
voice
voice
Well there is no accounting for the reason as to why we be loyal to the crown aside from it being the land o' our birth. In my youth I served well as it met my own desires, but loyalties shifted to that of freedom and the open sea.
Still I'm hard pressed to harm a ship what's loyal to the crown.
