Ye burn down a whole bloody island and ye wonder why the navy are on yer tail. Well they are and ye know who ye are. Their intent be to kill or capture and I’d prefer the first ta th’ other and no mistake. But I hope ye incomparable bastards get both. I know this hain’t yer world and ye lot are bein’ held here against yer will but remember it be one entity that be doin’ it, not the lot ‘o us. It be my world and ye don’t get to torch it to oblivion fer whatever reason ye want. The Navy will hunt ye down like the dogs ye are and even if ye come back there will be hell to pay.


Suffice ta say the Dog hain’t sufferin’ fools today so ye lot get no news, no weather. But out ‘o the kindness o’ what few ‘o ye I can actually stomach, I will be answerin’ one question. That be one. A single question. Somethin’ wi’ a hooky bit at the end. Anyone else has hooky bits they can keep it to their own selves.

What's the typical armaments on standard navy warship?

I wonder if I should tell ye. If I let ye bastards know how ta fight, whose ta say ye won't use it to yer advantage? Take over other islands? Even take over the navy if ye can? The Dog does what's right and when weighin' yer lives against people that are near and dear to me heart, ye can imagine where the balance sits.

Since some people here are so inclined to ignore vague warnings maybe they should know just how badly a proper navy battleship out ranks a Brig Sloop.

oh aye, maybe ye won't, but others will. Others with the potential to get firepower. Do ye think only the decent sort can read here? Do ye think they can't get stronger weaponry if they don't want to? Knowin' an enemy is the first step in learnin' how to beat 'em and I hain't bent on destroyin' me own world. Ye want to find out? Engage and run. Engage and run. That's the way 'o the pirates a'fore and since and if ye hain't brave enough ta do it yerownself, learn from others who are.

I respect you care about your world. I'm only asking how many guns they have. I'm not asking fleet size, patrol patterns (and I'd love to know how the Mistress was missed after they were out in force after the zombie stunt someone pulled), which islands have more strategic importance. Unless ye feel like naming names about the crew that's got no problem with implementing scorched earth policy.

Oh all right. Typical midsize battle ship holds 'bout 50 cannon. 36 pounder long guns on the lower decks an' 24 pounders upper. Typical crew size 'about a hundred or so, every man jack of 'em knowin' how to fight and where ta stick ye between the ribs. That hain't even countin Dreadnought class--but if ye are enough to call the into action, well ye'll be blown straight through yer own world and back to the hell ye came from and no mistake.
