[The following is written in what can probably best be described as a flamboyant yet legible chicken scratch.]

Dear Creepy, Enchanted Pirate Diary,

The rhyming and the pirate accent are a nice touch. Very authentic-like.

SO, this was definitely NOT what I was expecting when I woke up this morning. Or what I'd expect waking up any morning, really. But here I am, and here we are, and I have to say, out of some of the potential career options I was considering back home, the idea of turning to piracy definitely has some appeal.

Since apparently I can use this thing to recruit crew members, that's what I'm going to do.

I've already got a captain and a healer and a ship's dog, so I'll be needing a musician, a cook, and maybe a navigator. Also a warrior-type or two, I guess, since Aveline and Fenris didn't have the decency to come along with us.

All applicants please report to Captain Isabela.

Charming Murderess

[The words are written very slowly and in a large, shaky hand, as if the writer was struggling to be extremely careful in crafting each letter. Then an arrow was drawn from the words to the boat in the previous drawing.]

[...Well that's a...charming...name for a ship. That still doesn't really tell him where the kid (he's assuming it's a kid) is at, though.

His next drawing is a simple picture of a boat with one triangle sail 'at sea' in open water, followed by a question mark, and then another boat with a sail-less mast next to a dock, followed by another question mark.

[The response was a drawing of an "at sea" ship next to an island with what might possibly be what Hawke would know as 'drakes'. Though in reality, they were dinosaurs. Well, the best Link could draw them as.]

Hawke's next drawing is of an island covered in some square, blocky things that are meant to indicate a city, an arrow pointing away from said island-city, and a simple four-point compass followed by another question mark.

[He... didn't actually know. The ship had a compass, but no map that he recognized... and they had been following the Triton's Mistress around for a bit when they came upon the island with dragons on it.]

We are anchored at the island of Monsuta. It seems to be inhabited by large creatures of varying... appetite. It is a month's journey from Empieza, so I would suggest using the Nav if you wish to come.
