Captain's Log 1

[In blue ink there's a very flowing script from someone who clearly has no idea that this is public.]

Captains Log
Day 1 of being Captain

Teleported to strange island. Green fountain is the only clue, flying the nearby area didn't help figure out location. If it's in the New World, it's not one of Whitebeard's islands.

Surrounded by noisy idiots who are no help.

Still miss Pops.

The civil approach. Perhaps you can rise above your own meager sense of social courtesy.

[Ah, that is the question. Das Bones was the only crew he really had of any note.]

Perhaps. Hard to say, when I haven't combed the whole island. I've just arrived, after all.

You seem tense, Marco. Are you still holding a grudge over me trying to kill your beloved "Father"?

Oh, please. Your Father is dust, so it's time to stop being children. The past is the past, not worth dwelling on.

[Granted, he'd love to have Teach's throat in his grip right now, powers or not.]

Blame Blackbeard and the World Government. I did my part several times over.

Oh, I consider myself quite free to do as I please, these days.

It's always sad to watch people attach so much sentiment to the deceased. Free? Strong? He lost crew. He lost Ace. He lost his life. He even lost his ability. The Whitebeard Pirates are losing territory. The World Government has more power than ever.

Please enlighten me, Marco. Please give me some sort of proof beyond worthless platitudes and your verbal pandering to the memories of the dead. How exactly is he strong now? What did he leave you, or any of us, beyond more meat to bury?

History is littered with the the nameless corpses of those who thought they had an enduring legacy.

I suppose history will prove which of us is right on this.

Chirp as brazenly as you like, little bird. You may find your song cut short.

Humor. Always an amusing defense.

I'm sure we'll be seeing each other at some point, Marco. Good day.
