[Privately to Barbossa first:] Sorry to be disturbing you, Captain, but Jack has gone... missing and I fear it may be for the worst.
[Then out across the journal to anyone who might be listening:
His voice sounds out through the journal in a mixture of angry and baffled as he speaks with slow certainty.]
It seems more ill luck has struck The Charming Murderess as our captain is nowhere to be found aboard. Nor has he used the Nave to go off ship. The chances of him being taken, or of him falling overboard are dreadfully slim.
[Gibbs pauses a moment before continuing to speak. He will not hazard a guess as to what might have befallen Jack, and it is almost embarrassing to have to ask, but given the strangeness of this place he feels the need to inquire to other ships and crews, to see if this sudden disappearance is common.]
I know not what has befallen him or if this infernal place has found a new way to torment us. Insight to the cause of this would not go amiss. If you have any sound idea as to why the captain would unwillingly abandon his ship, I'd be most obliged to know.

Sir, with your permission, I'd like to leave my watch shift early. I... feel a longing to be with my companion in this moment. -Because if Jack could just go like that... any of them could.-

Aye. That you may.

[Gibbs knows Jack is very good at escaping unfavorable situations, unfortunately he is also good at leaving behind others and that, more than anything is what Gibbs fears most.]

This is most troubling.
Voice
Aye, it is. As first mate it befalls to me to captain this ship...
[He really doesn't want to. REALLY.] But if trouble arises I might be asking Barbossa for his guidance.
Voice
Even if you have misgivings, at least be more assertive until a solution is had.
[Because it was just making her feel more insecure.]
Voice
It's no easy thing finding that a man can disappear as if he were never here. But, aye your right.

Croft of the Sun
[She's never specified before which she belongs to but she figures - now with so much happening, doing so might not be such a bad idea.]

[Lara isn't sure if she should advertise her crew's weaknesses so blatantly. It seems foolish, but nobody she's made contact with seems to wish them harm.
Still... best to err on the side of caution.]

[Ships. How do they work?]
voice
[Or at the very least, he hopes he does. Giving orders on behalf of a captain is one thing, giving orders as a captain himself is not something he really wants to do.]
voice
[Just pretend that the orders are coming from the captain?]
voice
[Really. With all the superstitions they are breaking aboard the Murderess, he is expecting more bad things to happen to him.]
