As I'm sure many of you have already discovered on your own from this ghostly visit, I seem to have come down with a case of vampirism, for a lack of a better scientific term. The effects are all what you'd expect and entirely uncreative, but I will require blood at some point. I don't fancy locking some innocent away for the weekend, so a visit to the butcher's should do, unless any of you shockingly have a better solution available.

That aside, I'm also looking for competent chess players. Those who have ever been beaten in six moves need not respond.

Artemis Fowl. I don't believe we have met. It's hard to keep up when we're thrown out to sea so often and expected to embark on what is essentially a wild goose chase.

When people tell you what they want you to do, it's pretty much the worst thing you can do. I know a lot of people are doing it, and if I'm wrong, we'll find out one way or another. We haven't found anything yet, but then again, we just got here. I didn't expect to be turned into a vampire.

Do you have a chess board? I don't think I can leave the ship being captain and all, but you're welcome to visit. I've only ever lost to one person before. I'd love to find new people to challenge.

A captain? It sounds like you have a bit more experience than most of the lot here. We'll make arrangements once this situation is over, and I'll have a board complete by then.

Nothing yet. We're new around these parts and we just left Isla Empieza not too long ago. I've got a whole head full of alchemic theories if it's related to that, only I can't put them into practice. I'd need a working alchemist. So far I've found no such evidence however.

No experience at all. I didn't want anyone telling me what to do, however so far we're doing okay, aside from the brush with the ghosts and the whole vampire thing. Sounds like it wasn't just me though. We got our ship off one island and to another. I got some books though and it's been relatively easy to put that knowledge into practice.

If we were a bigger crew of people, I'd offer to visit myself but the four of us pretty much need each other to do the work.
