[When Celes' voice graces the journal (because obviously everyone looks forward to her addressing the damned thing, at least in her mind) she sounds pretty annoyed.]

So it would seem the one person around here who was of constant use, as questionable as the use may have been, has been murdered. Of course, it's also possible that he is still alive, but either way I doubt we will be hearing from him any time soon. So to those of you who wasted our time and his own asking stupid questions, I hope you found your answers to be sufficient. As it stands we're on our own.

...incidentally, I can't help but be somewhat troubled by his final words. As vague as the warning was, it was still a warning and thus something not to be taken lightly. So I'd like to know if anyone has experienced anything out of the ordinary? I've stepped outside several times and aside from this dreadful fog swallowing up the sea and the ominous moon looming above us, everything seems to be in order. Of course, that hardly eases my concerns.

If anyone has experienced anything, let me know. I will be keeping a list of things to watch out for, so do try to be helpful. I know it's difficult for some of you, but I'm certain you'll manage.

You seem to be a bit slow, in addition to being delusional, so allow me to break things down for you as simply as I can.

A crew requires supplies. Supplies cost money. Maps cost money. Selling maps earns you money. Money can be used to provide a crew with supplies. Having supplies prevents a crew from going hungry and murdering their captain.

I'm fairly certain that my crew won't murder me regardless of how I manage my maps. We have our own methods that are not your concern.

Of course they won't. They'll murder you if you cannot provide for them what they need.

You needn't worry over that. I do provide for them, in my own way.

Captaaaain. -She's whining.- I'm tired of being hairy... Is there any chance we're gonna get sunlight any time soon? I never thought I'd ever hear myself say that.

[It takes some time, but, eventually, there is a knock at the cabin door.

Then, Kyouya's voice on the other side:]

Lundenberg-san, I'd like to speak with you.

[At first, there's barely a sound behind the door. Just dead silence for a few seconds. However, it's not long afterward that Kyouya will be able to hear the shuffling of papers and then the sound of a chair moving back across the floor. Her boots clack against the floor as she makes her way to the door, opening it wide.]

Yes, Otori-kun?

Something's coming.

[It's a simple statement, but there's more force behind those words than he likes to admit.]

There's a ship in the fog. Bigger than us, at least. One of its lights is red, and it's heading our way.

[Of course it was something bad. Of course. Kyouya wouldn't have bothered her unless it was.]

I see. From the way you are speaking, I trust this ship's crew isn't here to board and make friends with us. Do we have enough time to change our course and retreat, or are we going to have to engage it?

I don't know what its intentions are. [But with the unnatural fog, eerie moon, and the warnings of a curse... it's not something he's going to leave to chance. Not, at least, without warning someone else who can take responsibility for what happens next.]

We might be able to retreat, if the wind's in our favor. If we cove the lights of the cabin and on deck, we might blend into the fog enough to not be seen, too.

Then we will perform both actions to make sure that we leave unscathed. Putting out our lights and blending in with the fog will make it to take our strategic retreat. It will be difficult to navigate in this darkness, but luckily we have someone with night vision on our side.

[Man oh man was having a werewolf useful.]

Of course. We should be able to evade it. [Hopefully.] I don't think it's seen us yet.

Good. Get Kagerou-san to the helm and order everyone to turn out every single light on the ship. I'll be making my way over to the helm shortly.
