[PRIVATE TO JACK SPARROW]
Can't say I particularly know or care how much you listen in on this thing, but I wager it's more than you'll admit.
That fool. The one who does his weekly good deed answering questions and taking a shot at predicting the weather. He's an arse, but he's not usually wrong.
And given what was on the report this week-
Well.
Now where have I heard stories of fogs and curses from, I wonder.
Better yet, awful...Messy way of trying to keep it quiet.
[/PRIVATE TO JACK SPARROW]

Audio
[ He doesn't confirm nor deny anything, let alone how often he listens to other people's feeds. He knows what things are important and what things are not. And this -- this crazy man and his talk of curses? Let alone him being bodily dragged away by, what he can only assume is the Navy?
That was important. ]
I've had me fare share of curses and fogs, mate.
[ But cursed fog? He shakes his head, beads jangling as he does so. ]
It's just like bein' back home again, eh?
Audio
It's only wise, to know one's enemy. And at this point Hector's willing to look at any and everyone as one.]
Aye, you and I both, Jack. Which is why we'll nary be doing that again.
[Though whether he means the mutiny or touching gold that's said to be cursed or something else entirely he doesn't elaborate on.
But to the last he pauses, ever so briefly.]
Only almost.
Audio
So, again, just like home.
For being so far away from home, this place was certainly doing its best to imitate it. ]
I be in full agreement.
[ Whither Hector is referring to the mutiny or the cursed gold, it didn't matter. Jack's had enough of both to last him a while. ]
Almost be close enough, eh?
[ Close enough to know when to be wary, what to keep a secret and who to confide in, lest their fate be the same. ]
Audio
And with the Navy acting as they are...He honestly wonders if it's not time to tell Jack the entirety of the whole happenings back in their own place, but quickly nixes it. No, even now feels wrong. Being here feels wrong and the opportune moment will present itself at some point.]
Close enough for what we do, anyway.
[He pauses.]
The Navy, Jack. They're not going to listen to excuses, and this lot fails to realize that. They got Dog. Nary did I think Dog untouchable, mind, but that were simply a stupid way to go about taking out an ally to the likes of us.
I say if they're going to hang us regardless, we might as well make it a mite hard to catch us.
