We're gonna leave tomorrow before they come out with pitchforks again. If you wanna come with us Egg-ossan, let me know. We're gonna go to a really great place with treasure and a princess, though, so you should definitely come and make your tomatoman!

I think I'll try my luck with my own ship and what small crew I have and not allow myself to be driven to madness, but your offer is appreciated, lad.

[Also he doesn't want to hear the word "princess" for a while.]

Yosh! We'll definitely be allies! Do you need a copy of the map? The lady promised it would be really awesome!

I won't turn down allies or a map! I'm sorely in need of both, after all. If you come across anyone in search of a captain, send them my way.

[he'll take a moment to make a laborious copy of the map for you.]

So...there's an island...directly north...and...what's that squiggly business in the middle?

That's so you know how to get there. [yep] It's weird, though, the island changes direction when you turn the map around.

[maps are confusing]

It changes--lad, are you sure it's not just the parchment moving? There should be a compass rose on the map so you know which way north is. Find that, make sure the arrow pointing north is pointing away from you, and then tell me on the map where the island is.

[He may get something useful out of this yet. Maybe.]

Hmm [there is a sound as he holds the map out] I don't see a flower and there's nothing wiggling. [he turns it around a few times]

How can you tell which way the arrow is pointing, that changes too.

So west of here, then. [Assuming Luffy knows his left from his right, which is questionable.]

Mm yeah. I dunno how far but Keimi might. [Nami definitely would] Anyway the fun is in just sailing til you get there.

I'm all for adventure, lad, but these are strange seas. Just picking a direction and setting sail could be the end of you. [The stars aren't right and he's not even sure weather works the way he's used to. He's not setting sail until he has a proper map and tools.]

Are you really the captain of your ship? [That poor doomed crew...]

haha yeah but we have a lot of compasses this time. [so it shouldn't be a problem. Either way, he nods]

mm! Are you really gonna be the captain of yours?

I am. It's not much of a crew as of yet, but it will be soon enough. [He hopes.] How many are under your command? How did you manage to find them? It's damned hard gathering up worthy sailors in this place, what with everyone wanting to be captain and all.

Mm. Let's see. [he counts off on his fingers] Usopp, Sanji, Robin, Brook, Keimi, Katara, Sokkaboom, Pinkie and Celestia... Nine. [he nods]

Na, listen, you're a shipwright, right? I don't wanna take you from your crew but I need some things change on my ship to make it easier. If you help me I'll let you have half the treasure from the cool island place.

[Nine?! That was just cruel. Unfair. A low blow by fate and karma and whatever else. Nine?]

What sort of things? If I can have them done by the time we have to set sail, I don't mind helping a friend out. [Especially for such a generous fee.]

[But a crew of NINE?]

I need an aquarium and a place so that Celestia can be comfortable. You can come with us if you want on your own ship since you wanna go to that island anyway.

An aquarium I could manage, but "a place so that Celestia can be comfortable" would be what, exactly? [He's taking notes.] Do you have materials already? I don't have the funds to buy them myself, mind.

I dunno. You'll have to ask her. [he's not entirely sure what kind of things she wants] We can get stuff I guess. [even if they were running low on money, it would be okay. They could get more somehow]

But I wanna leave pretty soon, so we have to get the stuff now.

Very well, then. I'll have to come have a look at things, I suppose. [And try to figure out why there are NINE PEOPLE on the crew.] I'll make up some plans and draw up a list of things I'll need.
