Greetings,

My name is Thatch and I will be your part-time cook, full-time master swordsman, and all around gentleman rogue. From what I've heard tell, I've had more sailing experience than most of you have fingers, that's all right. We'll teach each other, aye?

I'm going to be going to the ship soon enough and clearing out a space for my berth. Preferably the room with the highest ceilings. Before that, I'll be looking to restock the kitchen. If anyone has any preferences for food, let me know now. Also I've heard tell that one of you takes blood. Talk to me, matey. We need to have a face to face.

What else do you do on-board? I take it your a swordsman yourself.

Ace didn't give me a set position or anything, I've mostly just been doing what he asks me to and trying not to get in the way.

It's not a sword I fight with, that's all I meant. But most of the basics are the same.

Are you taking over as captain or something?

Never. I'm just the man who organizes things so our captain [that lovable idiot] doesn't have to worry about it. You can call me the quartermaster, if you like.

No, I don't fight with a SWORD. My weapon is called a Keyblade. I could show you, if you want?

Oh okay. Did you know Ace from before?

My mistake. I'd like to see your keyblade sometime, aye. [and he was a frog's hair away from making a joke about that but decided against it]

We've sailed together for over two years now. [though technically he knew Ace before Ace knew him, but details]

So you're a...Whitebeard pirate, then? Is that right? [Ace had told him about that.]

Sure thing. And yeah. Fourth Division Commander to be exact. And you, lad? Have you pirated at all?

Nice. That guy must have had a really big crew.

I've...been on a pirate ship before. That probably doesn't count. It belonged to this guy named Captain Hook.

Sixteen hundred of us, not counting allies, aye. [right now they were barely one division]

Not a terribly inventive name. Did he have you do anything or were you just stowaways?

...Wow. How did he end up with so many people??

Yeah, he was kind of ridiculous, to be honest. And I wasn't a stowaway—I just needed to use his ship. He knew I was there.
