I have a pressing issue that I have been struggling to find an appropriate answer to for some time. Sadly, the one I would normally propose such questions to is incapacitated at the moment, and is the reason for such concerns to begin with.

[He's also the one that she would have trusted to help her figure out how to do filters and locks and the sort with. Unfortunately, everyone gets to see her question:]

What is the appropriate human response when one suspects one's crew mate of wrong doing?

[Bloody Roses, three guesses whom she's referring to, though you won't need all three.]

Not in particular, but I don't have any other explanation. You're free to ask Undertaker, as we are one in the same.

As for anyone else within the crew, if they wish to raise the dead, then they are free to do so. It isn't as if prohibiting them from doing so will stop them.

I'm not sure if I should just tell you, since you're not so prevalently honest yourself.

[That and with the child here and no way to disguise herself… yeah. She gave up on caring who knew and who didn't.]

I am the mother of Japan, the goddess, Izanami.

[No, she doesn't care. She had to read up on folklore regarding other deities of death, so she's familiar with Japanese mythology. Much emphasis on the last part. She doesn't take much belief in all of that, despite most of a nation doing so. There is only one constant in her world, and it has no true form. Most think Undertaker would be such a form, but she doubts he would accept that notion.]

I'm a Grim Reaper. What else would you like to know? [Very casual about it all.]

[There is a very long pause… and after a moment, Grell might be able to hear Izanami laughing from somewhere in the ship. Good job, you gone and broke her.]

You are indeed a fool if you expect me to believe that.

[She does hear it, but it only makes her eye roll.]

Didn't you say before that I wasn't worthy of such a title?

If Undertaker could easily identify you as such a being, then why are you having a difficult time believing what we are? That's very telling of your ken on such matters. Perhaps you're unable to recognize us, or perhaps you've managed to even trick him?

That latter is quite difficult to do, mind you.

I see you need to be reminded that I am lacking my powers. I cannot tell your kind from any other mortal. And regardless, you are far from being worthy of such a responsibility. I am almost certain you even consider captaining this crew as a mere game.

[Like someone else she knows, but she wasn't going to go there. Grell at least wasn't an empty individual.]

Excuses. [Does she not know Undertaker is one as well? Grell wonders what Izanami thinks of him as being one of The First, and appointing Grell to be one.]

I've heard as much, but I'm one of the best in our division, so I doubt they'll dismiss me for being myself. [Even after slaughtering all those whores, they still kept her as a reaper.]

Oh, no. This is no mere game. [She does take her job seriously, but she just doesn't show it.]

Then I pity whatever ill fool rules over you in your world.

[Because it certainly isn't her! She would never put up with such idiocy.]

The role of death as a 'ruler' is not something that the flesh can fill, where I am from.

So you should really start a pity party quite soon, before it's too late.

My "flesh" is merely the illusion this world seems to have preferred.
