[A SONIC BOOM ripples through the air.

No one knows which direction it comes from nor will they be able to keep an eye out for the cause for very long. But if they're lucky, they will catch a glimpse of black among the cloud-scattered skies above the seas.

It's a different story across the journals, however. A muffled voice is heard, familiar in its tone as the dragon rider speaks to his Night Fury friend.]

...Huh. That's weird. Maybe we took a wrong turn somewhere, bud.

[A familiar grunt and gurbly sound responds.]

I know, I know. Lemme see if I can find some kind of landmark...

[Well, she was waiting for a response to make sure her ears weren't broken, and the voice on the other end definitely did sound like her long lost little viking boy. But something was just a little too off about all of this.]

[He isn't really sure how this is working. And yet he feels like he knows something about it. Something about the person (he hopes it's a person) he's talking to.]

[She's standing on deck with a bucket of fish and a glass of water. Her pokemon aren't there for obvious reasons. But she'll stand there and wait, no matter how long it takes him to find the boat.]

[Another sound barrier is broken. It sounds closer this time, barely fading away as dragon and rider glide into view across the expanse of water.]

Turtle shell and lollipops, like the woman said. And– hey!

[He glances at his shoulder piece, and then at Toothless' tail.]

...It's the same face. What the heck?

[Because he's never been here before. Or has he? But this is the ship. That must be her. As the Viking maneuvers the Night Fury down onto the deck, the sloop sinks a little. He pats Toothless on the head, swinging his leg over to slide off and set foot on the wooden floor.

His helmet stays on, but there's no doubting he's grown since they've last seen each other. His arms swing out to each side, dropping back down just as easily.]

Well. We're here!

[fastandfuryous]

[Padding around, the dragon sniffs about once they're on deck. He peers at Hiccup before looking about again, his ear thingies perking.]

[She was ecstatic. It felt like ages since she last saw Hiccup and Toothless, and having them back on the boat might make things feel a little bit more normal. She watches as the dragon lands on the ship, already readying the bucket of fish for him. But when Hiccup stepped onto the boat...well...]

[What...the...hell...WHO IS THIS MAN COVERED IN BLACK ARMOUR? WHY WAS HE SOOO MUCH TALLER THAN HER? AND GOOD ARCEUS WHY WAS HE ON TOOTHLESS????

Ok, breathe. She's kind of, awkwardly holding out the glass of water for him now. Wow her heart is racing.]

Hiccup reaches out to take the glass, only pausing to remember he has his helmet on still.]

Oh. Sorry.

[He pushes the bottom of the helmet up, pulling it off as if he's done it many times before. Lo and behold, his face. Aside from being rough around the edges, he still has that lopsided smile going for him. He'll be taking the water now.]
