Voice - Action for the Golden Lions

[Vanitas is relaxing on the deck of the Golden Lion's ship. He has no idea where they are, as he let Shiki make all the choices. And he doesn't know much about sailing. But the sun feels nice, and Vanitas has never really relaxed before]

Well, that navy invasion was fun to deal with. Almost as fun as the summit, had a lot of good fights there.

Except now I'm bored.

What's fun to do on the sea?

All over, they just pop up when they feel like it. I heard something about a kraken nest somewhere but I dunno where it is.

They're tough assholes, you'll have fun.

Do they have treasure? I think Shiki's more focused on that than fighting.

Well, we found a shard stuck to one, once, so I guess anything's possible.

Good enough for me. Maybe I can convince my captain to go kraken shopping then.

There's an island full of giant spiders, too, so I've heard. And one where your nightmares become real. Oh, and the one with the statue that will kill you if you turn your back on it. Lots of places with high risks.

All those sound fun.

[Except the nightmare one, his are rather...horrible to put it mildly]

Hey, where'd you get that sea stone chain you were talking about earlier?

The annuler? Raided one of the ships that attacked us, after we sank it.

The stuff's not real easy to find, mostly Navy's got it.

I read, and I play with my skateboard sometimes. Eating is good. I have cleaning chores to do...

What's a skateboard?

It's made of wood, I think, like a flat surface on four wheels and you ride it, standing on it. It's really awesome!

Hmm... I might have to try it.

Hey... Ventus is gone, isn't he?

You should try it, yeah.

[There's a pause and a little sigh.]

Yeah, Ventus is gone. He wasn't here this morning, he disappeared...

[For a long moment, Vanitas is silent. Unlike Nobodies, he has emotions. Always had them. They may have been negative and half formed, but he has them. He's not sure what he's feeling. Relief that Ventus is gone? That the threat of assimilation is once again gone? Disappointment that he didn't get to face Ventus again?]

I... Don't know how to feel about that... I'm glad he's gone, but I feel... unsatisfied?

Oh, uh, well I'm really not good at figuring out feelings. I'm not an expert or anything...

[Sometimes he can't even guess right. He sounds sympathetic though.]

I kind of know what you mean. Sometimes you want to do something and you can't. It's pretty confusing for me though.

I'm not either. [Except anger and hatred, he's good with those.]

[He pauses, and then, feeling shy]

Can I come over so you can teach me skateboarding?
