☠Thirty-Fourth Reel: Curious [Written]
[The usual red cursive pops up onto the journals after who knows, or who cares, how long.]
This may be a private question, so feel free to not answer if you're uncomfortable.
Has anyone experienced the sting of heartache, and yet found someone to give your battered heart to after a long drought? If you haven't, then do you think you ever will?

Hearing those three words does make her un-beating heart move a little. She smiles, and for a moment, remains silent. Once she opens her mouth, though...]
...I love you, as well, Dave. [She casts her eyes to the side.] Maybe I have for a while, but wasn't brave enough to voice it. Not to mention, I didn't want to say anything, and then you'd disappear.
[Having love, then losing it all over again is something Grell could do without.]
[Action]
[Dave shrugs. It was weird. He never asked to be here. He never expected to be back. He couldn't even remember anything while he was gone, and yet...]
I guess sometimes you gotta lose something to realize how much it means to you. I didn't tell you how I felt before I disappeared and I might never have been able to see you again. I didn't want it to end that way. I know it's scary to lose someone and I'm sorry I was gone. I can't promise it'll never happen again, but if I lost you without telling you how I felt I'm pretty sure that would be worse.
[And he also feels bad for not saying it sooner. He should have.]
So I didn't wanna be that chump who ain't brave enough to say how he feels. I wanna make the most of the time we have together. I wanna make every second count.
[Action]
Grell always lived in the moment, with little regard to her future. It would be sealed for her in any case. She would live until the end of time, or until some demon got the better of her, and everything else that was finite would be dust. For the first time in a long while, she thought of what sort of future she could have with someone.]
You're not going to get away with that so easily. [She smirks to him, pushing back some hair from her shoulder.] But you're right. We should make the most of how long we have together. Until we can take down Jones, and possibly have some control.
[Action]
[No one ever said it would be easy. Nothing ever is. Dave doesn't think their relationship will be, but he thinks it'll be worth the effort. That's really all that matters.]
I'm glad you agree.
[It's kinda hard to imagine ever getting the better of Davy Jones, though Dave would love to have the chance. Whatever happens, he'll feel a lot better with Grell at his side. He leans in to kiss her cheek.]
We're in it together.
