[They could't verbally greet her, or make her some cutesy little card. But Cynthia's pokemon wanted to do something special on their trainer's birthday and having people surprise her with greetings was the only thing that came to their minds.

It was simple really. Their trainer loved spending her mornings lounging around on the deck with her pokemon. She'd sit on the floor next to Garchomp while she read her book. Her other pokemon either sleeping or playing around near her, and her poots definitely using Garchomp as a pillow or a straight out bed. All Garchomp really needed to do was hold her trainer's journal open right next to her. Cynthia was usually too busy reading to notice anything.

Then Lucario would give her something. Probably candy. Possibly from Gaius' stash, because where else do you get candy on this boat? Ebay?

He drops it on her lap and lets everything fall into place. Cynthia simply smiles at the blue dog.]

Aww, is this a birthday present for me? Lucario, you're so sweet!
