[Gazing down at the book in his hand, he frowns. He's not anxious to work for someone else again, after being freed from Xehanort's influence, but he knows he has to get stronger.]
My name is Vanitas. I wield a Keyblade and I am the student of the greatest Keyblade Master there ever was; Master Xehanort. I'm looking to join the crew with the strongest fighters.
[Ends there, because, obviously, nothing else needs to be said. Everyone knows the more badass you are, the less you say.]

Not to my knowledge.
[Voice]
So how do you know you're the best keyblade master?
Re: [Voice]
I said I'm the student of the greatest. Master Xehanort has done more with the keyblade than any master that came before.
Re: [Voice]
That's strange, this is the first I've heard of him.
[Marco is usually more respectful for other people's role models given his own relationship with his father, but he's purposely pushing buttons still.]
What did he do with them?
[Voice]
[Vanitas is the hack and slash kind of guy, thanks.]
And I don't know why you haven't heard of him. Might because this is a backwater world.
[Voice]
What do you find worth your interest?
[Voice]
[Honestly, it went over Vanitas' head]
Battle.
[Voice]
[Both of them, really.]
But you know battling time and the universe is even more of a struggle than just a one on one duel to the death, eh?
[Voice]
Not that it mattered. I was a tool for that end. I didn't mind, I got to have some good fights along the way.
[Voice]
Then why did you sound so proud of him earlier?
[Voice]
[Voice]
I suppose it's still an acknowledgement of respect, eh?
[Voice]

[Voice]
But he called you a student? So that couldn't be too bad... or was it?
[Voice]
Student, tool, what's the difference? I was a means to end, and I didn't care. We wanted the same thing, just different reasons.
[Voice]
Such things always do.
[Voice]
[Really doesn't want to talk about it]
