[Voice/Action for Spades]

[Hello Spades, on this lovely morning, Leanne was minding her business heading to the galley to make breakfast for all of you when she spots a bubble and pops it. The result is now what could be a semi-familiar sight of an almost baby heron, now cowering under a table, letting out frighten chirps.]

Where is Momma? Where's my daddy? Where am I?

[Denzel peeks around the corner and spots the strange creature, not that he minds considering]

Hey there. Would you like a hug?

[Leanne blinks and fluffs out her wings at the sight of the beorc coming towards her.]

I am not sure.... Where am I?

[Denzel pauses for a moment]

I like - don't know. [The boy sounds uncertain and a bit concern but is quick to cover that up]

But we'll figure this out together!

[As he cocks his head rather curiously]

Like what kind of magical creature are you?

[She shivers a bit but goes to nod her head.]

How do we start finding out?

[She blinks and tilts her head.]

I am not a creature. I am a heron.

Like we find someone, you know.

[There's a grow up around here somewhere, right?]

What's a heron?

But what if they are a bad person?

I am a heron.

Then we defeat them! Together!

[Hopefully, he's not entirely sure how good his wits are]

Like what is that? What do you do man?

But isn't fighting bad?

[She goes to let out a few chirps.]

A laguz, we can change our form into the clan we were born into.

It's all like what you're fighting for, you know.

[Denzel cocks his head] Are you some kind of bird?

[There's a small that falls down the side of his cheek because of his parrots and the fact she changes form]

Why do you do that?

To be with my mommy?

I am! [And here she shows him by shifting into a bb heron form.]

Why not do that? [And awwwww no crying, she shifts back to move close enough to kiss at that tear.] There there.... No sadness.

I like more like for our protection if they attack us first. Or saving someone, you know.

[Denzel quickly hides and denies his sadness] I'm not sad.

[Although he's not looking her in the eye about that one but the feeling of warmness is overpowering with her being so close]

Can you like keep a secret?

[No, she sees that sadness and pats his cheeks with her hands.] There was sadness, just beep it away.

I am good at keeping secrets!

I do too. I just would like her to be around more... What kind of mommies do herons have?

[Denzel gives a smile] I guess I can't hide my emotions from you.

My friends back home my Godparents can be - birds. And I miss them.

Then that's not a good mommy. The best type of mommies!

[She smiles up at him.] No you can't so don't even bother to try.

You are being raised by birds as well?!

[The boy is silent because he believes that his mom will come around. Soon. He hopes at least]

Best kinds? You mean like Wanda?

They're sort of birds? They transform into birds but they're really fairies.

[She's magical so Leanne knowing shouldn't cause any issues with Da Rules]

[If she is a good mom then she would!]

Even better.

So they are not really birds.... What are faeries?

[Denzel shakes his head]

Um. They're creatures with wings, wands and floating crowns. And they take care of kids.

But they are not a bird? Just the kids? Why not grown-up as well?

Only when they want to be. [Denzel gives a quick nod of agreement with 'just kids' and a head shake of no with the adults. Of course by now Cosmo and Wanda gave Crocker 'the talk' so if he is asked why.]

[Marco leans carefully over the table and whistles extra reassuring and gently.]

Hello Little one. Do you not remember me?

[~~A talking pineapple?~~]

[A quick gasp and she goes to retreat under the legs at the sight of the talking pineapple and shakes her head.]

Where is Momma? Papa? My sisters?

[How does a pineapple talk? Have some more scared and frightened chirps and cheeps.]

{Marco quickly switches to phoenix and hops down next to her.]

Don't be afraid. It is okay. I cannot bring your family to you right now, but I will protect you until then.

I am Marco. A friend and protector. You may call me a big brother if you like.

[She blinks at the sight of the beorc changing into a phoenix and hops to her. She goes to sniffle a couple more times before crawling to him in order to touch his head.]

You are also laguz? But why not? Momma was just holding me, she was just holding me, mister.

Did the Ravens sent for you, brother Marco?

Time here is a little messed up, eh? It would seem your memories are too, Leanne.

I am here because it is my life to protect those here, eh? But I know Naesala, and the Crow King. I am sorry I cannot help you to be with them either, but for now, what is your wish, little heron princess?

[Holds his wing over her head to convey his protection of her.]

My memories? I am sure that I remember things correctly.

[Okay, bird chirping is too much right now.]

You know Naesala and papa Kilvas?

[Her wish? She wasn't quite sure so she just goes to cling to that wing.]

Don't wanna be alone, am scared to be alone..... [All of the trembling now along with some sniffles.]

I will not leave you, Princess of my heart.

[Kisses her forehead, and offers to lead her out under the table.]

I know Naesala and a different King. I am a phoenix, so time is distorted for me.
