[For a second there is an in-drawn breath, then two voices speak only slightly overlapping...]

I'm holding a Summit on Gamboller's Berth/the gambling place on the eighteenth!

[there is a slight pause as if both are digging in their ears and then:]

The hell? What makes you think you can hold a summit on that island? I've already staked my claim!

No way! It's mine! Get your own!

The island is yours? Then where is your flag?

We haven't gotten there yet. [but now he's determined to stick it up somewhere]

This idiot lays claim to an island he's never seen! Jihaha... go ahead and play your little game. I'll be busy raising an army.

I dunno maybe. But I don't want Shiki just thinking he can take anyone he wants. [he has allies now that he doesn't always see and can't always protect] Or anyone else. [which is why he needs everyone to know]

I'm gonna work on being strong enough to resist that metal. I won't let that happen to me again.

You think you can? Isn't it like seastone? [because even if Luffy tries really hard he doesn't think he can get stronger than it.]

Seastone works on Devil Fruit users, but I'm not an ability user. So I don't know why this metal works on me and the cook and everybody else. Gotta figure that out. And if it doesn't work, then I just have to be strong enough to cut it.

[a pause, then...]

Is that what seastone feels like?

Hey maybe if you can beat it, I can too. I'm not really good at that kind of stuff... but I'm better.

[and he'd rather not be stopped by it]

Yeah... It's almost the same. Except...seastone has more of a pull. [it makes sense to him but he can't explain it very well]

[he's always sort of wondered, and now he knows. And he won't mock Luffy for getting thrown by seastone ever again...well, unless the idiot touches it deliberately.]

It sucks, either way. From now on, we'll have to keep an eye on anyone who attacks us in case they've got any. We were lucky this time.

Nah, that's got nothing to do with strength, Luffy. Maybe your rubber joints can make it work, but mine are normal. Can't bend my knees or turn my shoulders like I need to when they're cased in armor.

What about just a really cool helmet then! We can find one with feathers.
