Under one of the dragons the word 'dad' is written. After a moment he holds it and speaks into it, feeling stupid]

Okay, so I can talk through this thing through people, right?

I need to get off this damn island so I can find that magical ruby. I'm not a sailor at all. I get motion sickness from slow moving chariots because of my magic. But I'm a damn good mage and fighter on land or on an animal's back. Help me out and I'll help you out.

[Sighs, he's starting to get annoyed from telling this over and over]

Long story short? Dragons are extinct. Four hundred years ago there was a civil war between the dragons over whether or not humans were food or friends. It was a stand still until Pro-human dragons started to train humans to defend themselves verses the ones who wanted to eat them.

Then a dragon slayer went crazy and killed a whole bunch of dragons, becoming one himself, and then became a major asshole who blows up the landscape for fun. There were only six dragons left, probably. Him, my dad, and four other pro-human dragons. The five of them trained me and four others to be dragon slayers before they died. They didn't really tell us why, but it's probably have to do with the one that's left.

That could be possible. Otherwise, I do not see the point of having dragon slayers without any dragons to slay.

The dragons of your world sound very different from the dragons of mine. They seemed more like a civilization than the intelligent beasts that I am used to.

Well, one reason is because Dragon Slayers are powerful. We're capable of eating our elements, holiness in my case, for a power boost.

There is a second way to become a dragon slayer and that's to have a dragon lacrima put inside of your body. They're called Second Generation Dragon Slayers.

And then there's what me and my partner Rogue did, which was have the dragon lacrima put in us after being trained by our dragons. We're Third Gen.

Interesting. Dragon Slayers sound a bit similar to Dragoons as far as being able to draw power from the elements. But It seems like there is no set number of how many Dragon Slayers there can be at once.

Other than very few, yeah. No more first or third generation can be trained unless there's more dragons some where or God forbid Acanlogia trains one.

There can any number of second gen though. So long as they can find dragon lacrima.

What exactly are dragon lacrima?

Lacrima that are somehow related to dragons. I was fourteen when I had it put in me and I wasn't paying attention to the details.

Oh, you probably don't have lacrima in your world.

Lacrima are magic crystals. They can be used for lots of things; communication, fire places, stuff like that.

No, nothing like that really. The closes thing may be the Dragoon Spirits, which are the crystallized souls of the dragons who were masters of their elements, but there are only eight of those.

Hmm... Yeah, that sounds similar, I guess. I don't really know, to be honest. I never had a reason to care.

Considering one was put into your body, I would think that would give you a reason to care.

I was fourteen, and just joined a guild and was super excited to be a part of it I just followed my Master's orders and went with it when he said it would make me stronger.

.... So you did not even bother asking questions?

[She at least tried to learn as much as she could about the Dragoon Spirits before going off to slay the Darkness Dragon to get hers.]

And I have seen fourteen-year-olds take precautions before. What is your point?

I was dumb and awestruck by being taken in by, at that point, the strongest mage guild in Fiore.

And in Saber Tooth you didn't ask questions if you wanted to stay.

The Nightfury huh? I believe that is the ship with a dragon on board.

I wonder if he's like the dragons my world.

Who knows. I personally found Toothless to be quite charming. He seems to like getting scratches along his eye ridge.

[Isn't actually sure what to make of that. She makes it sound like Toothless is more like pet than a person...]

I'll keep that in mind.

Wait, you said Darkness Dragoon? [Interest peaked] My partner, Rogue was the Shadow Dragon Slayer.

[well yeah. A very intelligent pet though]

Interesting. I wonder those elemental origins are similar. With me it allows me to attack an opponent's life force or open a gate to the void.

[whitedragon_abs]

Not...

[Pauses. Natsu told him about Rogue's future self sending a bunch of soldiers away with his shadow vortex. And that sounds similar to what she's saying...]

[The thought doesn't sit well with him because of the association with Future Rogue] He'd be capable of doing it. Maybe not the life draining, but the vortexes, yeah.
