[After looking around to ascertain that he is, in fact, on Isla Empieza again, Dave finds a wall to lean against while talking into his journal. He doesn't have his red pen, so you're all going to have to put up with the sound of his voice.]

Damn, I'm feeling nostalgic all of a sudden. I guess sometimes you never know how much you miss something until it's gone. It doesn't look much different than it did before. I wonder what happened while I was away. Did people form new crews and get into fights? Did the weather act up and did weird shit happen? Did Davy Jones fuck with people like he always does? I bet he fucking did.

Hey Grell, are you out there? I hope you are. I hope Dirk and mini-me came back too, but I doubt that happened. Just my luck, shit never works out the way I want it to.

Thash, you still around? Been awhile since we talked, bro.

It shouldn't. It's never taken that long. I don't know what magical means they have of getting things from my world, but it usually seems nigh instantaneous.

[His pimp hat outfit for example? That arrived right away.]

Then we'll order the clothing. Make sure to get a decent price.

Babe, you are talking to the master of haggling here. I will make sure we get the lowest price guaranteed.

[Lies. Dave has never haggled in his life. He'll give it a try though.]

[...just don't get them a higher price, Dave.]

Then I await your return.

[He won't. Probably. Unless the shopkeeper offers some extra special shiny thing that would make them look even better.]

Be there in a New York minute.

...and just how fast is that?

[She's sure she hasn't heard that term before...]

[Dave doesn't answer. He just orders the clothes, grabs them, and uses the nav, which technically takes more than a New York minute. Closer to 15 minutes. But it was still pretty fast, all things considered.

Once he's back on the ship it doesn't take him long to find Grell.]

Hey, miss me?

[During that time he didn't answer, Grell was getting frustrated with the silence. To the point where she was shaking the book to see if it was broken, or if shaking would make it work again.

Apparently she's been doing it a while because he's here now. She stops mid shake and turns to his voice. The journal gets shut loudly, even though she's smiling.]

New York is quite slow. [Grell is hesitant to just walk over to him, not just for fear of tripping, but...well, he's actually here. After all this time, and all their chatter about clothing.] That's a silly question, Dave.

You have no idea. The traffic there is outrageous.

[Not that Dave knows much about New York. He's only been there a few times. This is more of an apology for making her wait.

Dave walks right up to Grell and kisses her on the cheek, only realizing after the fact that her eyes don't quite follow him. Why isn't she looking at his face?]

Grell?

[She closes her eyes at the kiss to her cheek, yet once she opens them, her eyes lose their place on Dave but finds it. Or the outline. There is worry in his voice, which makes her smile.]

You've noticed. [Her eyes look down, if only to guide her hand to where his chest is. She'll place it there as she speaks.] There was a battle, with Hawtrey, not long ago. He managed to poison me, affecting my vision.

I'll fuckin' kill him! I mean... I don't know who the hell he is, but I'll track him down and end his life!

[Dave puts his hand over hers, holding it close to his chest. He doesn't know whetehr to be angry, or just... sad.]

Is this... I mean, is there something we can do? Is there an antidote?

[Is she going to be permanently blind? HAS SHE LOST HER SIGHT FOREVER? OH MY GOD!!]

[She grins brightly at his anger. Ah, he's all riled up! It's quite a turn on!]

His head is at the front. I very much doubt he'll be back.

[There is a shrug at his question.] My sight has gotten far better than at the beginning. It won't be long before I have full sight again.

Damn, you beat me to it.

[Probably just as well. Dave never would have been brutal enough to decapitate someone and hang their head on the prow as a trophy. He sure admires her malevolence though.]

You could have just said that from the beginning instead of making me worry.

[Grell is very vicious, and she makes no qualms about it.

Her arms wrap about his waist, realizing that her new form makes for a bit less room between them, but she'll make do. A kiss goes to the side of his lips.]

You didn't ask. Your finger was already at the trigger, and who am I stop stop you from being chivalrous?

[Tilts her head a bit, trying to appear coy.]

Does this mean you won't spoil me~?

[Dave wraps one arm around Grell's back, slides the other under her butt, and lifts her into his arms. He notices that she has a bit more... padding than usual, but he isn't going to make assumptions. Who needs space between them anyway? Space between them is bad.]

Nah. I'm gonna spoil you so fuckin' much.

[He hugs her close to him and then goes in for a kiss. He puts his lips over hers, slides his tongue into the crease between them, and if she lets him in he'll slide it along hers and kiss her passionately.]

[As she gets lifted into his arms, Grell smiles and readjusts her arms. She brings one hand to the back of his neck as he kisses her, definitely not being shy about their tongues being reacquainted. It's hard to believe that he's there if she wasn't kissing him on the deck of the ship.

After a few moments, Grell pulls back trying to focus on his face. With him so close, she could see a lot better. There really were no words right now.]

...you're really here, right?

[Dave is reluctant to let her pull away. He follows her for a few inches before he finally lets her go. He didn't want the kiss to end, but he guesses they probably shouldn't make a huge display on deck.]

Yeah.

[He kinda wishes he could stroke her cheek, but his hands are full.]

Do you want me to put you down, or... should we take this to your cabin?

Walk on my own feet? I just got up here! [She grins, kissing him again. It's everyone's ship, but like she'll care if they're making a display on deck.] We can go to my cabin.

[Or was it theirs, now? Did he even have his own? All his stuff is there, anyway.]

To the cabin it is!

[If she wants him to move in he'll do it without looking back. His cabin has been vacant for a long time anyway.

Dave carries Grell through the doorway like he's carrying a bride over a threshold. He doesn't think he could be happier to be with her even if they were married. He lays her down on the bed and climbs on top of her, kissing her deeply.]

[As she is placed on the bed, Grell makes sure to at least remove her greatcoat, not wanting it to wrinkle. She welcomes the kiss, threading her fingers through Dave's hair. It had been a while since she had a good make out session with anyone.]

[It's been just as long for Dave, unless there's some sort of weird time gap between here and his world. But that doesn't really matter. He's here now, and this is the only place he wants to be. He cups her cheek with one hand and keeps kissing her vehemently while the other starts tugging his shirt off.]

[She helped with removing his shirt, actually missing his warmth, and body contact in general. The kiss isn't going to end as quickly as the first, unless Dave needs air soon. Hands go to his bare chest. They may be a bit cold, however.]

[Dave tilts his head, both so he can keep kissing her and so he can sort of breathe at the same time, because he really doesn't want to come up for air. While his tongue is busy exploring her mouth his hands move over her clothing much more slowly, undoing buttons and peeling away layers with a sort of reverence for her body and everything covering it. God, he missed this.]

[What happens next is a whirlwind of fiery passion in mostly red. Not only reuniting with words, but with touches and movements as well. It's quite a while until the temperature in the room lowers, or is it the temperature between them that is making things so hot? Either way, Grell is properly satiated, enjoying the pulse that runs through Dave's body as she leans against him. It's rare for her to feel this relaxed, so she's enjoying the after effect of reacquainting themselves with each other as much as she can.]

[Even though Dave couldn't remember this place while he was at home, it feels like he waited forever to hold Grell in his arms. Being with her again was everything he'd thought it would be, and more. Finally he was able to express his love for her without restraint, without having to worry that maybe there were some parts of her she didn't want him to touch. There hadn't been time to ask how the changes came about in the middle of their love-making, but now that he's sated and relaxed he can't help but wonder.]
