[Draco doesn't usually dictate his posts to the journal, but he's in just a bit of a mood today, so that's what ends up happening.

...Also, he only just turned back into a human and thus can't find his quill. He's still got his wand on him, at least, but he'd very much like off this bloody nightmare island as soon as possible and that means the first thing he does is scramble for the journal with his glorious non-ferrety hands and he forgets entirely that he could just transfigure a twig into a pencil or something—]

DEAR LOVELY CREW OF MINE...

[The words are kind of growled out. He sounds none too pleased, despite the false politeness.]

If you would be so kind as to inform me of your whereabouts, since I notice they are not where I currently am, I would very much appreciate it.

I've had my fill of this place. Two bloody weeks is more than enough.

[Pause.]

This is Draco Malfoy.

[Another pause.]

P.S. For the love of Merlin, be quick about it.

It did. And then it went away again. I think he was using the island to aid his power, not...powering the island himself. If that makes sense.

But no, being an Animagus is a very useful ability. I think. And hard to learn, so I'm quite pleased with myself about that, at least. I just had a professor -- well, he wasn't really my professor, just some bloke impersonating him -- but anyway, he turned me into a ferret against my will in fourth year. Otherwise, I might not mind them so much. I imagine they're good for... [Something. 8|] Crawling into small spaces? Spying?

[There's some rustling as he continues to tromp across the landscape, and then a grunt as he climbs over a ledge that finally puts him in view of the harbor.]

I think there's still a ship down there.

[Grumbles under his breath as he cautiously makes his way down the slope.]

Assuming there aren't a load of lousy pirates waiting to ambush me or some such rubbish...

Not by choice, I assure you, and I meant pirates from THIS world. I wouldn't really know what to expect from their lot.

[There doesn't seem to be anyone down there, though, and now that he's closer, the ship really seems quite lonely and sad. Maybe it's been abandoned.]

Anyway, I would do far more than blast them. But I'm not a violent person by nature, you should probably know that. I prefer to find alternate solutions to problems, no matter how capable I am of blowing the ever-loving shit out of any dirty wankers who would dare to come at me!

[Raises his voice for that entire last bit, like he's trying to warn off any would-be attackers. Then he's quiet for a moment, waiting, before he lets out a breath.]

...I don't think there's anyone here. Half a mo, then I should be over.
