...Also, he only just turned back into a human and thus can't find his quill. He's still got his wand on him, at least, but he'd very much like off this bloody nightmare island as soon as possible and that means the first thing he does is scramble for the journal with his glorious non-ferrety hands and he forgets entirely that he could just transfigure a twig into a pencil or something—]

DEAR LOVELY CREW OF MINE...

[The words are kind of growled out. He sounds none too pleased, despite the false politeness.]

If you would be so kind as to inform me of your whereabouts, since I notice they are not where I currently am, I would very much appreciate it.

I've had my fill of this place. Two bloody weeks is more than enough.

[Pause.]

[Another pause.]

I heard. Give Luffy my regards. If I make it back in one piece, perhaps I'll take him out on my broom again. I don't suppose it's too much to hope that he hasn't cleaned out our galley yet? I'm bloody starving...

[YES THIS ISLAND SUCKS and is still riddled with nightmares. The worst of it is over, at least. Now that he's able to focus on getting out, he can handle the rest of it a little better.]

Fish sounds lovely. Have you met their chef, by the way? I've heard Luffy rave about him but the last time I was on their ship -- in Luffy's body, mind -- he was elsewhere. In someone else's body, as well. It was during that whole fiasco.

...Yes. Thanks. I've learned a new spell in all of this, at least. I suppose I can be happy for that, even though I sort of want to AK the damn spell at the same time.

[Although he doesn't think it's actually possible to Avada Kedavra a spell, as that makes no sense, but whateverrr.]

That...sounds confusing. But yeah- talked to him once about ice cream. I was going to hop over to see if we could recipe swap but I found out he wasn't there.

Oh, you did? What do you mean by 'AK'?

Oh, for Merlin's sake. Is he never there? Maybe he's not actually real. You were probably speaking to a fake.

AK -- Avada Kedavra. It's, er. The incantation for the Killing Curse. [A beat.] Which I don't know how to use, but this other spell that I learned grants the user the ability to turn into an animal. Or to become an Animagus. Only you don't get to pick the animal, every Wizard has their own, and I sort of hate mine. As such, I wish I could kill the Animagus spell.

[He's a little bothered that there's such a thing as a killing curse. He does let out a breath when Draco admits to not knowing how to use.

[Hmm. WELL, maybe he'll miraculously turn up again at or around the same time that Draco has! WHAT A COINCIDENCE THAT WOULD BE.]

Of course! But it was such a difficult ability to learn, and being able to turn into an animal IS rather cool. I was just...hoping it would have a different outcome.

A ferret.

It could be worse!! Right? [He just keeps telling himself this.] I could be a rat or a sloth or something!

I just...I had hoped to perhaps take after my namesake. Though to be honest, I've not heard of anyone who can turn into a dragon... But I could've been a falcon, able to fly whenever I pleased, or—or a panther, that would've been brilliant!

But no. A ferret.

[SIGHS AGAIN.]

If ever you need something shiny stolen, just let me know.

Well...that's true. But I guess being a ferret could have its uses- you can be sneaky at least.

Heh, I do my own thieving, but I'll keep that in mind.

I could already be sneaky. Now I can be small and sneaky, I suppose. Well, no matter. I'll find something of use to do with such an animal. Maybe having a keen sense of smell will come in handy.

There you go. Animals do have sharper senses where we don't. And small is good in some cases.
