I have a request.

[ He's staying warm, at least, but his handwriting isn't quite as neat as it usually is. The background noise is very quiet, but there's the sound of a ship in the background; waves rocking against the sides of the ship, and on occasion, a door opening and shutting. The ship is rocking slowly, with wood creaking from the motion. Zeref himself isn't used to the cold. Spending a long amount of time on an island in a tropical climate will do that to you. ]

If anyone comes across a book titled 'The Book of Zeref,' I would like to know immediately. It would either be in the Backwater Brig, or worse, someone here might arrive with it.

Why would you want that?

That book has caused enough chaos in my own world. [ Sorry Juvia, he can't tell it's you quite yet. ] I'd be much more at ease if I knew it was safe, assuming it's even here at all.

This is Zeref, correct? [She doesn't know who else it would be. Definitely not Lucy] But what would you do once you have it, just...hold onto it and nothing more?

[Though last time they talked he seemed genuinely upset...She thinks. Still, couldn't hurt to be cautious]

Without sharing too much, it is a spellbook full of extremely dangerous and powerful magic.

I'm not familiar with anyone named 'Mormon.' The Book of Zeref is a book of spells.

Nobody should want to learn the kind of magic I have. I don't even know if you are a mage. Not everyone can use magic.

It's possible. If not the Backwater Brig, then I know copies of it have survived in my own world, some of which have fallen into the hands of Dark Guilds.

It is very difficult to learn, and even more difficult to master. But those who are dedicated enough might be able to.

Be careful with it. It still continues to inspire dark wizards in my world, and its magic threw my world into chaos.

I'd rather it be with me, than someone who would use it for evil purposes. I don't need it. I wrote the book. I know every single spell in it, whether I have it or not.

Is it likely that someone would arrive with it, or that it would arrive here somehow?

I can't say for certain. There are Dark Guilds in my world who have managed to find surviving copies of it. I don't know how many copies there are left.

That could be difficult. If someone arrives here with such a rare book, they won't be likely to broadcast that fact.

No. But it's worth attempting to find out regardless. I know my magic when I see it.
