Voice/Action to Spades and Strawhats.
[The journal emits at first the sounds of sobbing before Leanne goes to speak, her voice a little hoarse from crying.]
Judging by what I have been hearing, these birds have been given to us as 'gifts'. Has anyone listen past their songs?
[She goes to take a deep breath before just shutting the journal once more to go back to crying. Anyone can find her in her room on the Sun.]

[Voice]
I have. Are you alright Leanne?
[Voice]
.... I will be..... What was your voice?
[Voice/Private]
It was the voice of a man named Zieg. Thousands of years ago, he was my fiancé when I was still mortal.
What about you?
[Voice/Private]
I see and I am sorry....Zieg sounds like a strong name and knowing you, he had to be a wonderful man.
Mine isn't nearly as tragic as yours but it was the voice of my mother.
[Voice/Private]
[Though what happened with Zieg was tragic, she does not doubt that what happened to Leanne's mother was also a tragedy as well.]
Do not measure your grief to others'. That is being unfair to yourself, since what happened with your mother was obviously painful.
[Voice/Private]
[It was painful, too painful to think about.]
She sacrificed herself.... So that me and my sisters could have a chance to live when humans came into our forest and hunted us down and for over 20 years..... I believed that I was the lone survivor of those three days.
[Voice/Private]
Re: [Voice/Private]
[Voice/Private]
Though it hurts, I am actually kind of glad to hear his voice once more, even though it is temporary. It is bitter sweet and helps me remember him a bit better.
[Voice/Private]
[A long deep breath.]
If only though, even for one day we can see them in the flesh again.

Even if it is screaming against his instinct.]
Leanne?
no subject
Come in Naesala but please close the door so that no one else will see.
no subject
[If he hated those "birds" already, the feeling was doubled now. So he cuts right to the chase. Gently, at least.] What did they say to you?
no subject
It wasn't a what but the voice... it had the same voice as Mother. It sang to me her lullaby and kept on saying things she would say in her voice, Naesala.
no subject
[It takes him another moment of silence to respond, mostly in order to let her know he's not trying to make light of the situation.] Not exactly meant as a "gift", I take it.
no subject
How did they get her voice? And her lullaby? So many years have I want to hear it and when I finally accept that I can't... they do this.
(It was hard to hold the tears back anymore and one more deep breath, she bursts out crying again, clinging a little to Naesala's shirt.)
no subject
I don't know. I'm sorry, Leanne. I don't know.
[It kills him to see her like this. He holds her tighter, just letting her cry it out. What is he supposed to do? Tell her forget about it? No, this is something that cuts too deep. The only thing he can do is stroke her hair and offer the occasional comforting hum in their bird tongue.]
no subject
Thank you Naesala... [A forced chuckle.] I probably look awful right now.
no subject
You look upset, as you have every right to be. [As he runs his fingers through her hair, he idly but gently untangles a few strands.] I can only imagine it's been building for quite some time.
[It's a thought he didn't intend to speak out loud, but with the way she'd been handling things lately...]
no subject
I probably still look awful though. [She blinks at his latter words and shakes her head.] It is still no excuse especially for one as myself.
[She was a bit curious about why he had that train of thought.]

[He lets her play with his hair. It was no doubt a little messed from leaning against her own.]

Re: voice;

Your kind words is enough, my lord....
[Action]
I see you also found what those - birds do.
[Action]
Yes..... I do not know what to make of it....
[Action]
We should remember them that they're not gone. As long as we think and remember them... and all the good times we had with them.
[Of course, this advice comes from Thatch]
[Action]
And that they are always alive in our hearts as well....
[Action]
They - are?
[The man looks at her directly in the eyes]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
Your mother?
[Action]
Yes.... It sang to me her last lullabies to me.
[Action] 1/2 <- internal thoughts not outward reaction
[Action] 2/2
Ah, I am fortunate then. I got to hear Ace and Pops laughing together, eh.
Re: [Action] 2/2
I miss her so much, Marco.
Re: [Action]
Maybe they're together, eh? But I think even your family would have trouble getting my Pops to mind some manners. He's like all the worst parts of Thatch and Ace.
[Action]
No.... She would have found a way, her and my sisters and brothers.
[Action]
You think so?
[Action]
I know so... She had almost 900 years of experience to do so.
Re: [Action]
Good, because it'll take her that long to get Pops to be good, yoi.
[Action]
I will give her a year at most.
