It has come to my attention that several crews have been losing members lately and I've noticed that many of the smaller crews that have formed haven't responded to my earlier call to action. My own crew has lost vital members and is now no longer large enough to easily sail a ship of the size we are currently traveling on. We either need new crew (which, ideally, should be drawn from those who are traveling with inadequate numbers already) or our crew needs to be absorbed into a larger one.

If any of the Howling Sabers wish to discuss this with me, you may do so here. I'm not available to discuss things in person at the moment.

As for the summit I've proposed, there is enough interest to move forward with it, so I have tentatively scheduled it for early December, before new arrivals appear. If there are any objections to this, voice them here. I am planning to hold the meeting on Breakneck Cay. It is an uninhabited island to the north of Isla Empieza and is notorious for being difficult to moor at. If you don't think your crew has the skill to land there, arrangements for your representatives can be made with other crews. If there are any further things that need to be planned for, again, this is the place to tell me so that it can be taken care of.

We should take on others, we hold advantages we should not so easily relinquish.

I agree, but if that isn't possible, there needs to be another solution. Fewer and fewer people arrive as time passes and we can no longer count on new arrivals to add to our numbers.

I am sure there are enough smaller crews that could be recruited....

There are more than enough, but the issue is convincing them to join up. It's not to their advantage to sail with so few people, but some of them are stubbornly attached to it.

I suppose then selling the strengths that we can offer will have to be a focus.

That would be one way to address it. What strengths did you have in mind?

We have a base not restricted simply to a vessel, though such information would be best to use when they are already leaning towards agreement. We are also in possession of several shards, which would place anyone interested in that ahead of where they may have been. We are also open to new ideas going forward, which may make joining us more comfortable.

We also have a few tools that can make ship life a bit easier.

If anyone answers, I think that should be sufficient to convince them. It's just a matter of waiting at this point.

I beleive us to have enough resources to at least have the time to be thoughtful on our situation.

Yes, if necessary we can spend time on Scorpion Reef or transfer to the sailboat if we have to.

There is also my vessel if need be. Though it is better for short distance travel.

I should be able to attend representing myself. If anyone needs help getting there and needs to use a nav, I'm always happy to offer mind since I barely use it. I mean do you think that would be okay for me to do?

That would be helpful. Your ship is small enough that it is unlikely to draw any sort of attention, so there shouldn't be any problems that will arise if you choose to moor at the summit site.

I guess that means my small ship comes in handy sometimes in that case. I'm glad. I'll make sure that I do that when the time comes.

Not at the moment. I'll be in contact as we approach the date of the summit.

The only member of the crew I haven't spoken to is Red. What do we need to discuss as a group?

It's a good way to discus what to do as a group rather than just outright say something without consulting people first. For example should we need to combined with another crew wouldn't it be a good idea to discus with the others who they'd prefer?

I think you've lost sight of how many "others" this crew includes.

I guess so, but even so with small numbers it still counts. Though I guess at this point, I assume we'll be abandoning ship?If this will be the idea then why not just do it sooner rather than wait?

We can't abandon ship without somewhere else to go.

That is what you plan on doing? Finding out if that option is actually available.

Exactly. We have time to plan, so it would be foolish not to.

Are the Sabers going to need a lift? Wouldn't mind playing ferry to people to and from Emprieza [If it's a bid tricky he wouldn't mind the extra hands on deck for landing]

We're still determining what our status will be. If we can't travel to the island ourselves, we'll probably find a way to make use of Navs to get there. Several ships will have to make landfall at the site, but we should keep it to the minimum necessary so as not draw attention.

Doesn't really sound like a place that's going to have eyes on it.

It's not likely, but not impossible. It depends on how closely the Navy is monitoring our travel patterns.
