Voice / Action for HazMats

So... this is what we use to talk to everyone, right? Weird, but okay.

I'm hoping most of you are used to the idea of having dragons around already, seeing as Toothless has apparently been here for a while. Well, now there's another one. Those of you on the Night Fury have probably noticed by now. She's big, blue and spiky, and she's mine. Her name's Stormfly.

Like Toothless, she won't do anything to you unless you attack her first. So don't. If you see her around and she lets you, you can pet her. She usually likes that. Just be careful of her spines -- they're poisonous.

If you aren't sure what to do, you can ask me, or Hiccup.

--Oh, I'm Astrid. I guess I should have said that first.

There ARE other dragons, you know. Just saying.

[ Don't worry. She's not being sarcastic. Her tone was more a reminder than anything. ]
anelegantmyth: (happy: good for you)

I'm not surprised. You have to be from my world to actually know about the dragons that come from there. Since, I'm positive, you won't see them anywhere else.
anelegantmyth: (curious: kindly repeat that)

Well one thing's for sure, I have NEVER seen a dragon like Toothless, and I have a somewhat foggy memory of what yours looks like but I know I've never seen one like it either.

Yep. It's pretty weird talking to a book and you run the risk of looking crazy, but there's no denying that these things come in handy.

[The owner of the voice happens to be hanging out atop the fo'c'sle, running a whet stone along the edge of a blade.]

So, getting used to ship life?

[A smile quirks at his lips at that.]

Can't blame you. I've been here for months and I still prefer solid ground under my feet. My experience on ships back home's been for specific trips or brief battles, nothing ever this long.

I'll admit, the most experience I've had in flying is whenever I had to hitch a ride with Twigs and Toothless, here.

So, everyone have dragons back where you're from?
willwork4sugar: (.....)

[personal profile] willwork4sugar 2014-10-30 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Nice. We have something called wyvern riders back home. The wyverns they ride are pretty similar to dragons, but most of them look pretty similar, at least from those I've seen.
willwork4sugar: (come again?)

[personal profile] willwork4sugar 2014-10-30 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, you sure have some colorful names for your them. ...sooo...how big do dragons get?
willwork4sugar: (hm?)

[personal profile] willwork4sugar 2014-10-31 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
[He whistles lowly, but that's only because he hasn't yet seen the Fell Dragon, back home.]

[personal profile] willwork4sugar 2014-10-31 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. So they come in compact size too.

The ones we got are about as big as your dragon. ...and then we have Manaketes, although I think they're kind of rare. They're...I guess you could call them dragon-people? They can change from a human form into something like a dragon.
willwork4sugar: (heh)

[A laugh.]

That he does.

[Gaius shakes his head, smiling crookedly.]

Crazy kid.
