...it seems I'm not in Unova anymore. I should probably try to contact my crew and tell them not to worry about me. But I'm enjoying this little getaway from the daily headache also known at the Hazmats.

Oh but they've probably already heard my voice on here. Hey guys. I'm not dead.

[For a certain someone, she could be found in that secret cave at the far end of the island. He knows where. But for everyone else, you could MAYBE catch her wandering around town, looking at stalls or maybe just sitting by the fountain. She'll be wearing a cloak with her hood up. So good luck.]

I did. But that was back when I unwillingly spent a month trapped in this cave because I had no where else to go. Now I see it more as a little getaway spot that also doubles as a secret vault that only you and I know about.

And, I don't know, until someone convinces me to come back? Or maybe until Hazmat leaves for a new island.

Why the need to convince? Or did your disappearing act have something to do with it? Look, if you needed a break from all of us you could've just said something.

I went home, Gaius. I was there for a few months. Then, about a few days after the start of summer, I was brought back here for some reason.

You know I'd never abandon the crew. But I just needed some time to readjust to the idea of being a pirate again, and I figured, maybe I'd take my time before heading back.

We'd figured- hoped, really, that you'd been sent back. You kinda disappeared in the middle of a battle so I wasn't sure what to think.

...don't think we have much choice here when it comes to taking to the seas around here or not, and even if we don't play up the part, we're always going to be labeled pirates.

At least you got some time to readjust to the place. When I got thrown back here I had no idea what was going on and I think me and Jingles were about ready to take each other down until recognition hit.

It's not the label that bothers me. It's...being stuck on a boat for another seven months. Constantly having to worry about you guys, and making sure I do justice to the title of quartermaster. It gets stressful sometimes.

Heh. I think you're taking the title too seriously. Our crew's as laid back as they come, and everyone worries just as much about everyone else.

I'm not crazy about being stuck on a boat for as long as we can be, but at least there are plenty of places to stand on solid ground in between.

And don't get me started on stress. I think I wanna swear off any more missions Jingles might think to put me in charge of.

We didn't think that you'd gotten killed since you'd been with Ariel the whole time. Tried looking for you but we couldn't stay long without pulling the Nightfury and the rest of the crew closer to the main battle.

Got back to the island to pick up Jingles who was left a mess from his own fight with that guy we pulled out of the ocean.

So a lot did happen while I was gone. Kitty was the first person I talked to when I got back, and all I did was tell him I needed time away. I didn't bother to ask what happened during that fight.

Arceus, if I had known something happened to Kitty, I would have come back sooner.

Doubt he would've told you himself. Heh. We didn't even know until we pulled into the docks and saw him sitting there a bloody mess.

[He shakes his head. Crazy captain.]

[He holds up the cheesecake in front of her, his gaze fixed out at the sea beyond them.]

[He grins and slips out the paring knife he carries, holding it out to her by its little leather sheath.]
