[Truth to be told, Ragna's sense of time is close to non-existent; so far, he's managed to miss his own birthday, his anniversary of coming to this world, and god knows how many other important dates in-between. Even so, there's a time of the year that burned itself into his mind hard enough for him to remember it. Either that it's some sort of self-preservation instinct kicking in.]

So, uh... Anyone know some kinda place where one could hole up for a week or two? Preferably something with no windows or doors. And reinforced walls. Ones that wouldn't let shit pass through... like... something ethereal, for example...

[Ragna jumps a few feet into the air with a scream. It's bad enough he was thinking about the possibility of... those things showing up, and now Kodachi decides to startle him like that? Yeah, thanks a lot.]

I don't know if you could find a temple without windows or doors, but a regular temple with wards should be able to keep any ghosts out.

Besides, how did you expect to get inside if it didn't have a door? Surely you can't go through walls?

... Temple? Like a church or some shit?

[That makes him feel slightly nostalgic... but not better about the issue on hand. He's pretty sure his old home wouldn't have been able to keep any ghosts out, "house of god" or not...

A church? I suppose so . . . I don't really know how they ward off evil spirits. Temples have ofuda to keep them safe. Ghosts can't pass them and if you stick one onto a ghost's forehead they'll get sealed away or destroyed.

[Kodachi barely blinked as he exploded into fierce denial.]

Who else is so deathly afraid of ghosts?

[He's not entirely sure if that could work... it seems too good to be true. Though he wonders where he could get that thing; if he had something like that, perhaps he'd at least feel safe...]

I suppose I could encase you in a box of thick ice and cover it with snow... I don't know if ethereal beings would be able to cross it or not but maybe if they think it's just a pile of snow they won't be interested in you.

[Of course, chances are he would freeze so she's not really serious.]
