Usually at this time of year, I'm starting to get ready for Halloween. It may not be as big in my lands as it is in America, but he and I have a little tradition to scare each other.

Looks like I'll be missing it this year.

Still haven't gotten that brat back for dragging Russia into it last year, the cheat.

[For those on the Gilded Rose, Arthur's in the galley being kinda homesick with a cup of tea. And doodling (on scrap, not in his journal) various plans for a haunted house tailored to scare America.]

Ghosts huh? Literally? I've never really believed in ghosts....or if they do exist I don't think they could interact with the living in any physical way...

[but come to think of it, even if Arthur did have real ghosts in his world, it doesn't necessarily mean they're the same here or in Thash's world. Everywhere seemed to be different]

But anyway so what if you're not at home....you could celebrate anyway. I think it'd be pretty funny to scare people

I think I've just been homesick. It's what happens when the weather starts to turn cooler.

Perhaps I should. Anything you suggest?

Well there's all kinda of stuff to do...depends on whether you'd like to be active or relax.

[He snorted softly, glancing up at the shark man.]

As long as it doesn't involve any swimming.

No swimming huh? [he frowned slightly at that, wondering if Alfred couldn't swim. He remembered having to rescue him from the sea monster that attacked a while ago, but even strong swimmers could get dragged down by one of those.]

Well, there's a water park that's pretty fun and most of it has shallow waters- just stay away from the rides that dump you out in a full sized pool. I also saw bikes for rent, and there's a lake with fishing availible... Personally I really liked riding jet skis and taking surfing lessons, but those would definitely take you into deep water.

[he scratched the back of his head raising an eyebrow slightly before he next spoke]

...you can swim though, right?

[Arthur coughed to buy himself some time and hide his embarrassment before quickly responding, to something completely different.]

Maybe I'll do some fishing. Could make kippers for the crew.

You live on a ship that sails the seas and you can't swim?!

Is it because you're a country? Are you physically unable? Cuz if it's just a matter of knowledge and practice, ya gotta let me teach you. That's just not safe!
