[After examining the journal she received, Cinderella realized that it could some how play and record audio messages. Which is just fine with her since she doesn't feel like writing anything down. She's way too annoyed for that and she certainly sounds the part.]

Whoever took me from the airport and dropped me in the middle of what looks like the set of a pirate movie, I'm going to hunt down and shove my high heel up their ass. At least they could've brought my luggage with me! How do they expect a girl to survive with out her Versace, Prada, or Gucci!? [Not to mention her spare gun, knife, and extra ammo that were enchanted so that TSA would ignore them were in there. Those would have been very handy in this place.]

If I end up missing Fashion Week in Milan I'm going to be extra pissed. [Well really, she was just starting a mission but no one needs to know that. Still, it will cause a huge mess back home if she were to go missing before she even starts.] I'm a busy woman, so I don't have time for this crap.

To put it bluntly, yes. Though no one has managed to figure out quite how to do that yet.

Sorry, forgot myself. Mundy is short for Mundane. It's what people like me call the natives of the world I was in before arriving here.

I am what is known as a Fable. Long story short, for whatever reason, the Mundies know about our lives in their stories and fairy tales.

Normally I'm not supposed to tell anyone about this, but I'm not in the Mundane world and I imagine stranger things have happened here.

Fairy tales... Like the Muggle fairy tales. [It clicks, then.] You're that Cinderella?

[He's only partially familiar with the story, having never read it himself. And he's certainly never seen the Disney movie, ha.]

Your Mundanes sound a little similar to my world's Muggles, though. People who don't know how completely ordinary they are, totally oblivious to the brilliance just under their noses.

If you're thinking of a girl with glass shoes who crashed a party with the help of a fairy godmother, than yes. I'm that Cinderella. Though the Mundy's tale leaves out several realistic details.

[Just goes to show how popular she is if people who never read the story know about it.]

And personally, we Fables like the keep it that way. Could you imagine what it would be like if the Mundanes found out that their favorite story book character was real? We wouldn't get a moments rest! I don't know about you, but I like my privacy.

Besides, them just knowing our tales works to our advantage.

I can imagine, actually. You'd never hear the end of it. It's why we're so cautioned against revealing ourselves to Muggles, as well. More than cautioned, even. It's illegal.

Magic and the like, to them it's all just a fairy tale.
