1st Secret [Voice]
[After examining the journal she received, Cinderella realized that it could some how play and record audio messages. Which is just fine with her since she doesn't feel like writing anything down. She's way too annoyed for that and she certainly sounds the part.]
Whoever took me from the airport and dropped me in the middle of what looks like the set of a pirate movie, I'm going to hunt down and shove my high heel up their ass. At least they could've brought my luggage with me! How do they expect a girl to survive with out her Versace, Prada, or Gucci!? [Not to mention her spare gun, knife, and extra ammo that were enchanted so that TSA would ignore them were in there. Those would have been very handy in this place.]
If I end up missing Fashion Week in Milan I'm going to be extra pissed. [Well really, she was just starting a mission but no one needs to know that. Still, it will cause a huge mess back home if she were to go missing before she even starts.] I'm a busy woman, so I don't have time for this crap.

[Wait. Cinderella? Wooden clogs? A bitch of a stepmother? There are way too many beings in the universes with an awful mood.]
In my world there's a story named like you, with a very similar premise to what you described. In the story, though, "Cinderella" is a derogative name, an insult because the protagonist was often covered in cinders due the work she was forced to do.
I don't suppose you have another name that's less an insult, do you? I don't particularly mind but I prefer to use my own vocabulary when I want to call people derogative names.
[And yes, that's basically all he cares about. As little as he minds insulting people, it kind of loses its point when that's how they are called.]
[Voice]
[Like the reason why the magic only lasted until midnight, or that Charming was a cheating bastard.]
And no, "Cinderella" is not a derogative, it's my actual name. If my stepsisters and stepmother wanted to insult me, they used more colorful terms. But hey, if it you don't want to call me that, people also call me "Cindy" or "Cin."
[Voice]
I've never been one to care much about those stories, but I always found them too simple. Specially knowing the kind of shit life can throw around.
[The name thing surprises him, though.]
I don't know if your parents had a peculiar sense of humor or if names like that are actually the norm in your world. If you don't mind I would prefer to stick with "Cindy". But if you actually prefer your name as it is I'll respect that and go with it.
[Voice]
[Mundies would be surprised about what really happened in their beloved fairy tales.]
They're actually kinda normal. I was married to a guy named Charming after all. And I won't have made the suggestion if I minded. Most people tend to call me that, and it makes blending in the Mundane so much easier.
[Voice]
[Or maybe he did, weren't all the princes in fairytales actually known as "Charming Prince"? He always found that curious, either people didn't bother to give the guy who saved the princess a name or it was the same guy with a hobby for using women. He always thought it was the last option given how his own father was.]
Cindy, then. Though you'll find that blending with the natives of this world isn't as easy as blending with the Mundanes as you call them. You will probably blend without problems with the rest of us, though.
[Voice]
[She gives a short almost bitter laugh.]
I've already noticed about how hard it is to blend in here. I'm wearing a Gucci dress while everyone around me is wearing wool and cotton. I stick out like a sore thumb!
[Voice]
[He chuckles.]
Even if you wore the same clothes as them, they would probably notice. I've been here long enough to notice that even with clothes people will sooner or later know. Either way, as pirates they already don't always like us even if they don't know we're foreigners.
[Voice]
Yeah, I'm starting to notice the "not liking us" part. I just punched out some jack-ass. At least I didn't break a nail.
[Voice]
[Though now that she talks about the first two wives and their curses... Maybe he had been right as a child when he thought that Prince Charming was always the same guy.]
By the way, in case you didn't notice yet or no one told you. The Navy is definitively the opposite of our friends. They are most likely to shoot you down first and then ask than anything else.
[Voice]
Sounds like a real winner. [Oh the amount of sarcasm in that one short sentence! And his next statement brings even more!]
This place just sounds better and better by the minute!
[Well, at least she's no stranger to people wanting to shoot her. Good thing she's tough to kill.]
[Voice]
[He sees that sarcasm and matches it with his own, just so she knows full well how he still doesn't have good news.]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[He chuckles bitterly.]
Though it's adviced to wait for the end of it all, whenever it comes. Well... With your background you probably have heard about curses, haven't you?
