3rd Dragon [Voice]

I never want to set foot on that island again...

[Yeah, she doesn't sound happy about what happened on Isla de la Passion. And she's pretty sure that some of her fellow Spades feel the same.]

I need something to keep my mind off it, so here is a question I have been wondering about for quite some time now.

How many of you are from worlds where there are dragons? If so, what are they like? I had met one dragon since I arrived to this world, and he was very different from the dragons of Endiness.

There were dragons in my world. They were just big massive monster type things - what else kind of thing can they be?

[Good, because from now on if anyone mentions that island to Rose she's going to ignore what they are saying.]

Various kinds apparently. On my world, dragons are beasts, but very the intelligent kind of beasts. They can use magic and do not attack unless provoked. Dragoons like myself can command them.

During the celebration before the race I met another dragon who was very different. He was much smaller and was quite friendly.

He knows how important distractions are, at any rate.] In my world, dragon laguz kept to themselves; secluded in their own country. Their king is an old, stubborn lizard who stayed neutral in all affairs and asked the same of us. Not that we listened.

The one dragon - I assume - I've encountered in this place had been little like them as well.

Dragon laguz? Their attitude sounds somewhat similar to what the dragons of Endiness are like. They tend to keep to themselves unless provoked.

Perhaps you are talking about the same dragon I met a while back. Was he black with one of his tail frills replaces by a red sail?

In my world, dragons mostly kept to their own lands save during migration. They are intelligent and certainly can be friendly, but most are not. We had a brief war with them long ago, when establishing the borders of our nation, so while they no longer consider my people a viable food source, there is a history of distrust between us.

I see... So your dragons definitely more than just beasts.

Well, I guess you could call manaketes dragons... They have the scales, fly, breathe fire, all that stuff... but they need dragon-stones in order to stay in that form. Otherwise, they look like little girls.

Little girls who turn into dragons? That is something I have never heard of before.

Dragons, huh? Where I come from they're only a legend, or they're supposed to be. But I ran into a real one guarding an island, so maybe they're still around.

Oh, dragons were totally a thing back home. Mostly were, kind of still are. There used to be loads of them! They were the original firebenders and everything. It always sounds like it was really amazing. People hunted most of them down, though.

Dragons only have fire powers where you are from?

That is a shame to hear, considering I have always thought of dragons as noble creatures. Though I have killed my fair share of dragons, it was only out of necessity because they were a threat to innocent people.

I do not have dragons in the world I am from, but there were many stories about them. It might not be the same, but they are very popular among video games and stories in general.

My armor is crafted from the hide and bone of a dragon that I killed at home. The ancient Tevinters worshipped the Old Gods. There were seven and each of them was a dragon. Such creatures have been considered rare for some time, but I found lots of drakes in the mountains. The Archdemon at the head of the Fifth Blight - tis a long story - was Urthemiel, the old god of beauty. She had been tainted by the darkspawn and we had to kill her to end the Blight.

I sometimes wonder what she was like before becoming tainted.

So your dragons have some connection with the gods of your world? That sounds interesting.

-oh! You'd probably rather not talk about it at all, um...never mind! Although I can answer your question! I'm from a world where dragons are, being one myself.

We're not as many there as we used to, before a great war, but that was thousands of years ago. Now we only inhabit a little area, secluded from the world of humans. Only for a while though. We're hatched and taught how to handle our magic, and then when we're ready, we join the rest of our clans beyond.

Sorry, I am not used to hearing a dragon speak a human tongue.

I haven't personally seen a dragon in my world but one of my relatives use to hunt for them.
