A private correspondence, one that would not have required the use of this journal at all. The book was simply open when the ink fell upon it.

Everything is fine. Oddly enough spilled ink rarely proves fatal.

Well, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask since you can never be too sure about how that ink spilled, sir!

That's good, at least. I still can't help but find it a little amazing that even things like that can be transferred over these journals.

Anything written on the page can be seen by everyone. That is why these journal are so useful and also such a problem.

Oh, I think I can understand what you mean by that. Um...so is it just the book that's enchanted like that? Or would it still do the same if you tore a page from it?

I believe the journals are the only items that can transmit messages this quickly, but you do raise a fine point. I have never tried to rip out a page and then use it. Give it a go and tell me if it still works?

The only tragedy that occurred is that Connor is steering the ship. It seems his goal is to cause the Mistress to roll as violently as possible.
