*Selphie's complaining, like most things she says, hasn't been thought about before broadcasting. Really, she's giving an immediate reaction to everything she's heard or read on her journal lately*

Geez, what is with these stupid islands? If it's not angry navy guys, then it's gross monsters and zombies and stuff! Seriously, is everyone around here so mean? Would it kill for people to be a little nicer for once? Making friends isn't that hard...

Anyone found a place to go yet where they felt actually wanted? I wouldn't mind a coupla days on land just to hang out. That is no way too much to ask!

You should find an island where you can have a really cool adventure. [because that's clearly the answer to any kind of problem. Go do something exciting]

Well...yeah, but it's not like I was bothering anybody, ya know? I only wanna make friends! *Because before she wound up here, she'd really had more than her fair share of fighting and war*

I'd love to find an island for a really cool adventure! But - it's not always so cool when the creatures or the people there really want you out.

But it would be nice to have someplace to just chill out sometimes. Fighting fun and normal fun. I like a bit of both!

I like to do that kind of thing on the ship. [But maybe she doesn't. Or maybe she's not comfortable there]

Anyway good luck finding some place like that.

Yeah, I guess I could do that. But there's not a whole load of space. Don't you get itchy feet?

Try a book, or rum? Maybe ask a cute boy for a massage~! That is, if your crew has any.

Well... We don't seem to have any books on board. I dunno about rum though - I think maybe we gotta restock on that and -

That pattern seems to be that if you want to find a place to just hang out its best if the place is unoccupied.

Of course, we were dragged into this world and given a challenge, I don't think the place has any plans to cooperate with us.

Guess that's what I need then! A totally deserted island with only friends, and friends only!

But yeah, you're right. They gave that impression pretty quickly, huh?

"Pretty quick" is putting it mildly. I don't think anyone has managed to stay on land for longer than a week so far, have they?

Hmm... Not that I'm aware of. It kinda sucks. Though I guess that's long enough to get food and supplies, just about.

[ELSEWHERE ON THE SHIP, so he speaks into the journal.]

Maybe we'll get lucky the next place we end up.

[There's a short knock on Selphie's cabin door. The Doctor's heard the broadcast and frankly, he's somewhat worried about the young lady.]

Selphie?

*Selphie looks up suddenly from her space on the floor*

Uh, hello? The door's open!

*She's pretty sure it's the Doctor, anyway, judging from the voice. Selphie's sitting over in the corner withher back against the wall, flicking through her journal*

[He pokes his head in without another word and gives the kid a gentle smile.]

Are you alright, Selphie? I saw your broadcast, figured I'd check up on you.

Huh? Yeah, I'm okay! You wanna come in? It's not exactly super cosy but...

*Selphie just smiles and shrugs, putting her journal aside*

My broadcast? Did it sound super moany?

[He slips inside and shuts the door, keeping a little bit of distance for the moment. He could be comforting, but right now he figured she just needed to talk.]

No, it just sounded like all of this bothered you. The whole...not being wanted and people being angry thing. Believe me, I know how that can be.

[He pauses]

It's upsetting, isn't it?
