Voice/Action for the Spades - Bodyswap Event

[So for anyone who's on The Sun and happens to be doing anything near Korra's room, will see her door suddenly blow off the hinges and skid and crash off the ship into the sea. A familiar frantic looking woman charges to the new door opening and sticks her head out. Only it's not who everybody thinks it is...well it is but, you know, bobyswap and everything. Time for some damage control]

Oh spirits... Sorry!!! Nobody was hurt, right?!

[Hopefully no one was in the way of the door at the time! And just by luck, the journal manages to record the audio of all of that, so have fun with that]

[Not hurt, but you almost gave Korra (er, yourself?) a concussion, as she's been rushing back to her room to locate her own body. Almost forgetting the frantic situation for a moment-]

It's okay, I do that all the time.

[...Theeen it dawns back on her.]

What the hell is going on?

[You like that? She probably picked up that one from Ace...]

[Oh look. Asami has come across her own body...and apparently almost injured it ~~this is a new record for her, isn't it?~~. She pouts a little]

That's what I'd like to know. [With a sigh, Asami TRIES to stay calm, pointing to Korra] So...which one are you suppose to be?

[And by that she means who's in her body]

...Am I right guessing that you're Asami?

[She's talking to her own body WHY THIS...]

Yeah it's Asami. This is so weird.

[She emphasis that last part. A lot. Then she pauses to a look down at her- well Korra's- hands]

I'm not sure how you guys are even able to get use to this bending thing.

Well... You became a Firebender once, right? I guess the first step is to make sure you don't burn anything down...

[She's about to suggest getting Mako for potential damage control, but... Oh. Right. He's not here right now.

But hey, bright side! [Nervously eyeing what's left of her cabin door.] You go the air to work way quicker than I did!

Firebending came a lot easier to me than airbending, but I still struggled with it.

[For those 24 hours, now she has 3 more elements to struggle with. Oh right...Mako. She frowns. Where was he anyway?]

Um...sorry about the door, Korra. [Saying that is so awkward] I'll help you repair it when everything returns to normal.

Don't worry too much about it. Like I said, I've blown it off the hinges a few times already.

[Why do you people let her stay on this ship??]

And... I guess that would make sense, given that you are part Fire Nation, right?

[That makes sense, right? ...Right? Korra stop, nothing makes sense anymore.]

[Korra.....]

Oh, well...Still, it was my fault this time so I'll help out. We can get another door at the next island.

[Or go fetch the other one from the ocean. Part Fire Nation? Yeah. That...actually makes sense to her, it could help for sure]

Maybe? Is waterbending your best element?

Well... Fire's actually always been my favorite, if I had to pick one.

[She peers over the railing of the ship. The door is already a good ways behind the ship.]

I could go out and fetch it if things were... normal. [Awkward staring at Asami.] But I don't know if you want to be jumping into the ocean, yet.

[A nod]

You do use it the most.

[Asami peers with her, using her hand to shade her eyes from the sun]

I'm with you on that one. I'm not sure I'd be able to get this waterbending thing under control even if I did go out there.

Dragging a whole door along with you wouldn't be easy, either. We can just find a replacement next time we anchor.

[It's probably not the weirdest thing the Spades have flung into the ocean.]

Besides, we have bigger problems than a door.

[Korra looks down at herself. Or. Rather. Asami. Now that she's had time to think about all of this, it's really awkward.]

That sounds like the best idea. But still, I'll pay for it.

[Asami's pretty sure the weirdest thing they had flung into the ocean were people. Or giant fishmen]

Yeah, it's... [Really awkward, like everybody else is thinking, but Asami doesn't even say that and just trails off instead] But don't worry, I'm sure we'll get through this with no problems.

What was all that about?

[Another day in the life of the Spades...]

Oh hey, Nami. It's a little weird to explain, but...did you wake up in another body?

[Maybe Asami should actually say who this is]

Huh? No, I woke up like normal.

[Fins? Check. Scales? Check. Awesome tail? Very check.]

Why are you asking?

Well going by the journals, a lot of people didn't. Myself including.

[She pauses, then adds]

This is Asami.

But you sound just like... Oh.

Asami...?

Yeah...I'm guessing you haven't seen my actual body on the other ship yet then?

Sorry, not yet. But at least I know who to look for.

In any case, I don't think she'll...I'll be too difficult to spot now. Korra's personality is a lot more brash than mine.

I'll keep on the lookout for any loud and unusual screaming coming from you. Sound good?

[Despite the situation, Asami has to laugh at that]

Yeah, sounds great. But I'll probably come over to The Sun for a visit anyway.

You'll know where to find me, if you want to visit.

[ooc: action or handwave?]

[With a sound of acknowledgment, Asami shuts her journal and hops on over to The Sun as soon as she can...which is somehow surprisingly easier when she's Korra. Not that it was hard in the first place, but still.

She strides on up to Nami once she spots the mermaid, keeping her hands close to her chest so she doesn't accidentally airbend anymore. It's good going so far. Then she clears her throat to get her attention]

Hmm? Oh, hey- [Nami had almost said Korra's name, but caught herself just before remember the conversation she just had.] Asami.

[This would take some getting used to.]

Are you feeling alright?

[There Bolin/Ace was, on the floor, wedged underneath the door--while Korra and Asami chatted away, unconcerned for their now dead bestie.]

[Did she just accidentally kill one of her best friends?]

Bolin?

[She rushes over to lift the door up with her new found strength]

Hey? Are you okay?!

Ughhhh...

[Ace rubbed his head, standing up and frowning at... Korra? Wait, was Asami there, too? Why did Korra feel dead?]

What the hell's the matter? Korra, I don't hear your heartbeat...

[Ace had already made it pretty clear that this wasn't Bolin. Unless Bolin managed to pick up cursing...Korra already did]

Heartbeat? [....] You're not Bolin, are you?

Wha?

[An incredulous look came up. It was Bolin's, but then--they weren't entirely polar opposites, those two.]

Did I slick back my hair or somethin'? It's Ace! Besides, my eyebrows aren't as big as Bolin's, remember?

[So now that she actually thought about it some more, him and Bolin were very similar]

...They are now, Ace. [She gave him a somewhat worried, but curious, look] Maybe you should look inn the water to see your reflection.

[Ace frowned before acknowledging what Asami said. Maybe someone drew eyebrows on him when he was asleep--]

...Well, neither Korra or Asami are good at jokes. You must be telling the truth!

[Blunt was certainly the word for it.]

[Excuse you, Ace, she's very good....no. No she's really not. Well whatever, Asami gives a shrug and gives her best Asami-like pout.

...Thanks? [Or something like that] Korra is in my body right now and if that's the case, then Bolin must be in yours. So I really think we should go look for him before something happens.

[And by that she means before he burns the ship down]

Ok, it's a little weird hearing Korra talk like that.

[He wished he could have heard what it was like talking through Bolin's voice. Ace didn't even recognize the difference.]

Anyway, why're you worried? Bolin's a pretty reasonable guy, isn't he?

[Korra not being hotheaded? What is this?]

Of course he is, but he's an earthbender. I think controlling fire would be difficult for any non-firebener.

Well... [Ace held his hands up and focused awhile. The same way he would have focused if he were using his flames. Nothing happened. He felt something, but it wasn't at all fire. It was colder and much more distant from him.]

Jeez, I can't do it at all, anymore.
