what the HECK?! What'd I do, piss of Davy Jones or something? Eat some strange food? Walk through some... Cursed fairy magical stupid crap?! WHY AM I A....[he paused to look at himself again. Just what the heck is he?]

....urgh. I like this place but it's weird. Seriously. Whatever this crap is, it better go back to normal. Anyone in the Bloody Roses hear me? It looks like I'm on isle Empieza for some weird reason in addition to being a fuzzy freaking forest animal. I'm gonna go to the Backwater Brig and use the nav to get to the ship.

I have to admit, a shark mutant is pretty cool. I imagine now you'd give us a real fight.

You think it's cool, huh? Most people in my world were pretty put off by it...but you can come see for yourself if you come to the deck.

And yeah, I can fight pretty well in my own skin. We should spar sometime... I do it with Kat now and then.

[he was finished doing other stuff to get ready so he'd go to the deck at that point]

[once he got to the deck, he hung his net on the railing and leaned against it, waiting and just enjoying being outside]

[Instead of practicing her stealth, she decides to merely walk out into the open. She watches him - what a shame that fishface hadn't turned into a shark like that. Maybe then he'd be more useful.]

So. What kind of shark are you? I'm going to assume not a hammerhead...

[he turned towards the newcomer as she approached, looking over her briefly as she was surely doing the same]

So you're Harmony...[weird name for a warrior but whatever]

What kind? That's....a difficult question actually. I'm only 1/4 shark...the rest of me is Aquarian and human. As for what kind of shark that 1/4 comes from....[he shrugged] probably a mix of a few different kinds. It's a long story. But I wouldn't mind telling it if you want to hear how something like me came to exist.

[he inhaled the air furtively, taking in her scent] smells like you're human...

[She chuckles a little at that.]

I'm 100% pure human. I just 'know' a few mutants back home.

[A mix of a few... maybe that would result in more powerful mutants. Too bad there was no mutagen to experiment with. Oh well, it'd be a nice tip for dad back home.]

I've got time to kill. I guess you didn't get splattered with alien goop?

Oh...guess that explains why you're not surprised to see something like me...though I'm more of a hybrid than a mutant. [at least he thinks so anyway? He was born like this, not mutated into it]

No, no alien goop. But I guess if you've got the time... [he settled more comfortably against the railing.] so. Apparently there was this Aquarian magic-using jerk. Aquarians are basically fish people that live in my world... You've got the freshwater types with legs and the saltwater types with tails. This guy was a saltwater type, and he was trying to make some kind of superior species by mixing high quality saltwater and freshwater Aquarian blood with the best kinds of shark blood. Illegal of course...but he did this crap in a remote location away from law enforcement.

[his voice was rather flat and hard as he went though this lengthy explanation. It was evident that even though he was willing to tell about it, he wasn't very happy about it]

Anyway, he eventually makes this shark-Aquarian freak that lives. It grows and thrives and becomes strong, but not very intelligent. It busts out of its confinement and kills the jerk Aquarian. Then it roams around free, able to walk on land because it had a tail and legs like me. Apparently it wanders into a human village at night and spots something it finds attractive- a human female. The stupid monster rapes her. Nine months later, out comes a freaky shark hybrid baby. That's me. She decides she doesn't wanna keep the baby and leaves him on a beach to fend for himself. That's about it in a nutshell.

[he frowned a bit, scratching the back of his neck] got all this information secondhand of course...I've never met my parents and that's probably a good thing.

[She leans on the railing, listening with some interest. It's sort of interesting, something she could see Baxter Stockman doing, but the issue of the mother makes her expression drop. She looks away, tapping her fingers on her arm.]

... At least you got something out of it. Anyone can tell you're a capable fighter just by looking at you.

[he glanced at her, his expression softening then turning into a small grin]

Thanks. Yeah, at least I got a lot of good strong blood. I keep myself fit and sharp, too. Never know when you're gonna need to fight.

You look like quite the warrior yourself. You one of those stealthy types like Kat?

[Eager to change the subject, she pushes herself away from the railing a bit.]

I don't know much about 'Kat' myself, to be honest... But she's not someone I'd want to take head-on. Not yet.

I like this ship. All of you are extremely skilled, extremely powerful...

[he noticed she didn't say much about herself...well, if she was the stealthy type of fighter she probably spoke about such things with discretion]

Hehe I don't blame you. She's an awesome fighter... A good spar with her never fails to get me excited. And sometimes a little beat up, hahah.

Hm, as for how powerful we are...Grell's probably the strongest. Not sure what she is but she moves crazy fast and has this loud weapon that I've seen tear up the face of a sea monster. As strong as she and everyone else on this ship is though, don't let it make you think the other pirate crews are weak. I've seen a guy who can stretch like rubber and punch really hard, a guy who can jump through the air and create whirlwinds with his sword, and a guy who can trap people in illusions just by looking at them...there's a lot of powerful people out there.

[Rubber? Whirlwinds? Illusions? That... sounds awesome. Her eyes are practically glittering at the potential of fighting such people.]

... Well. I've made my decision where to stay, and I'm not about to change it soon. As long as things here stay exciting and interesting, this is where my loyalties are.

[seeing her eyes as he described the amazing power he'd seen made him smirk a little. She was a little like him if she was thinking of fighting them... That was one of his favorite ways to get to know people]

You'll have no shortage of interesting and exciting experiences on this ship, hahah... I've only been here a few months and we've nearly gotten into a war with other pirates twice. One time it was over some stupid prank and one time it was because our dear captain decided to go on a killing spree...[he frowned irritably at that, clearly not approving] I wasn't too happy about that. Right now though, we're on our way to help some allies fight slavers. Now that's a fight I can get behind. There's few kinds of people I hate more than slavers...

Additionally, weird curses seem to hit this world regularly, like that annoying one that turned me into a furry animal for a few days. So yeah...not a dull moment.

Actually, the slavers are what got me here. Grell told me that you guys were planning to slaughter them, so I signed up. And if we get more 'curses' like that... I guess I can never let my guard down. Not that it'll be hard.

[hed kept an eye on her expression while he mentioned the killing spree... One thing he liked to know about people he associated with were their views on killing. She didn't look too bothered by the mention of Grell's actions... Well, she'd find there were plenty of other crew members that would share her view]

Oh? Good, I'm sure we'll have a rough fight ahead of us and can use all the help we can get. The slavers captured two of our allies' crew members... Strong ones.

[he nodded about the curse thing] yeah, stay alert for sure. Who knows what kind of crazy crap will happen next.
