Ahoy ye scalliwags. Th’ Dog is in a fine mood today so don’t ye go ruinin’ it. A’course wi’ the obnoxious new ones mixed in wi’ the obnoxious old ones, hain’t no gaurntee it won’t happen but as fer that, I hae a contingency plan ‘o fine wine an’ certain gentleman ‘o a certain island. Hain’t bad ta be th’ Dog sometimes, let me tell ye. I suggest ye lot take yer rest as well. There be somethin’ in th’ wind that don’t bode well. A kind ‘o grumblin’ an’ stirrin if ye know what I mean. But it hain’t nothin’ we haen’t weathered afore. Most likely.

News

Kinda slow as it is this time ‘o month. Exceptin’ th’ Navy be in an uproar since a certain group uprooted a certain base. If yer ship be attacked by overzealous Navymen, ye lot hae th’ Spades ta thank fer it. They’ll hae th’ hole world on their backs at this rate, and I’m not sure that hain’t what they want ta begin wi’, but only time will tell.

Speakin’ ‘o th’ Spades, th’ Corpse King has made an appearance and be patrollin’ th’ West Seas. Appears he be lookin’ fer somethin’, though as to that, hain’t sure what it is. Mayhap a legendary treasure. Quite a few ‘o them that way. Most ‘o ‘em cursed up ta their little brass eyelets but there be power ta be had in curses if ye know how ta use ‘em. Hain’t gonna tell ye where they are, though as I understand at least two ‘o ye hae half an idea where the iron crown be buried and whoever has that. Well. Let’s just say it’ll be a great day fer some and a horrible day fer most e’eryone else.

Weather

North: Foggy in th’ mornin’s but humid as hell throughout. Yer hair will like as not curl on its own just by bein’ there but don’t expect any relief til near th’ end ‘o the season if I’m ta make a guess. Lot’s ‘o Singers around there too and I been hearin’ news ‘o a bevy o’ carpenter ants headed that way so ye best be on th’ watch.

East: Foggy near mid afternoon. Cool though. Balmy ye might say. Perfect time fer a glass ‘o wine. It also be the Foodlestoodlevoodlel oodlef Boodlells at Croodlezy Toodlelk. Fun fer all ages if ye don’t mind yer ears ringin’ fer days after.

West: Rain ‘n’ fog fer the better part ‘o two weeks but expect some sun near th’ end. Not too miserable though if ye don’t mind rain. Hain’t like to be much ‘o a rain either. Just a light mistin’ as I understand. Other than that ye’ll have a calm seas and fair wind, but I’d steer clear ‘o the Great Western Current unless ye’d like some Navy chewin’ yer ship ta splinters.

South: Quiet days ‘til the fog rolls in ‘bout th’ evenin. That’ll be th’ start ‘o some pretty fierce winds so I’d furl the sails once ye make anchor, though it may be better ta sail it an pray given th’ waves that’re like ta kick up. Also I’d steer clear from Yuezhong as it be in a bit ‘o an uproar since one ‘o their Goddesses seemed to hae turned pirate o’er a man. Hain’t that just the way. Rumor is she got knocked up besides but if it were the Straw Hat or Bloody Roses crew that did it, non can say. Hope fer ye lot sakes it hain’t either.



S’all I got yer tern for a question fer me. But I only answer one per week all ye new people so ye’d better be careful what ye be askin’ me. I don’t suffer fools lightly unless they be pale blue wi’ a tendency ta rock th’ boat.

On the Isles of Sky, there are countless ruins, many of them speaking of a history that ended in catastrophe when the island rose. Could you tell me what you know about those people and what causes the islands to rise?

Ye be wantin' a history lecture? That truly be yer burnin' question 'o th' hour? If yer sure then well enough but that be two questions, one 'o 'em I don't know th' answer ta, but pick one and we'll see if ye get information or ye just toss th' whole thing over fer the next two weeks.

I admit it's a slim hope, but I do hope there's something to learn from their history that may benefit us in the present. If they're separate, then what I'd like to know about most is the people who loved on the island. I made many copies and rubbings while we were visiting, so if I could learn enough to help me interpret them...
