I've been a sailor as long as I've been able to stand in a boat. My father was a sailor too, a fisherman in fact! No safer vessel to sail in.

[He grins, Vyse can hear it.]

Nothing is impossible! You have to chase your dreams! A traveler told me all about how to get the power to be king and he was right. I'm sure I will manage it. I feel like it is what I was meant to do.

That's pretty close. Not all fugitives are pirates, but a good number of pirates are fugitives.

I've known them, but I've never actually been one. Sometimes, I still don't really feel like a pirate.

Well...most pirates don't really consider the law fair and make it their goal in life to bend as many of the rules as possible. Some pirates are out to battle corrupt organizations and protect their families and friends.

Some pirates hunt down and capture or kill other pirates.

I've met a few people like that back in my world. As far as I know, Miss Fortune is a pirate hunter, and she's always trying to catch this pirate named Gangplank.

Depends how you call a 'pirate'. It's the cities that raid each other where I'm from, all mounted on wheels and tracks and such. It's a lot like piracy.

I've only been a pirate for a few days to a week and so far... well I don't have an opinion yet.
