Now that there has been adequate time for the fallout from the race to finish, and it appears that more have been forced to join our numbers, I would like to extend invitations to join the crew Howling Sabers. The Sea Princess is their ship, but unfortunately, there are not enough crew aboard to keep it maintained. There is a definite need for a consistent chef, one that can focus only on preparing meals and who can create a variety of dishes to quality standards. We are also in need of anyone who can clean or help sail the ship. You do not have to know how to fight battles, as the current crew members already possess these abilities.

What can be offered in turn is protection, should it be needed. Among the crew, there is also an active desire to gain more shards. The crew will not simply sit back while others take these valuable and powerful shards. We already possess a few, unlike some other crews that may want more members.

In short, if you would like to get a head start in completing the ruby or simply need to find a ship to get off the island, then the Howling Sabers may accept you into their crew.

The quality of the food must edible; no under-cooked meat that may make someone sick, for example. It must also be seasoned properly. Too little will make the food bland. Too much will take away the natural and desired flavor of the ingredients. The dish must be paired creatively with sides that would please the palette. Should the food wares allow, it would sometimes be preferable to have an appetizer and dessert alongside the meal.

The galley is sufficient with any tools needed. Magic helps to maintain the freshness of the ingredients. Do you think this is something you can do?

If it means I don't have to do much else, I would honestly say I'd be a little interested. I certainly have experience in cooking if that helps?

Experience in cooking is a necessity for this position.

Your only duties would be to prepare the meals and check the freshness of the ingredients on a frequent basis while keeping their storage organized. There will be others to complete the rest of the tasks aboard the ship.

Yes, it will give not only the meals, but the ingredients to make the meals the attention and time they deserve. This will help keep the ingredients stay fresher longer and the meals more varied.

I was to gather what was needed to obtain shikigami. Servants formed of magic and bound spirits. Such beings can be used in such manners, as cooks and maids and other such duties that need to be done. However, currently such arts are beyond me.

[It was an interesting ability. It wouldn't be needed when there were house-elves to do the work that the shikigami could, but here it would have been very useful.]

Why did you not use that ability earlier?

If you had learned this before, surely you can learn it again.

It is not about learning, it is about what I am capable of doing. I have discovered though this week that I am bared from all arts that derive themselves in the Tao. And this method is very much a method of the Tao. The method that is left to me is quite different, and it requires gaining one of the unseen world to claim me their master. That is far more difficult, and a waist for our needs.

[Magical servants that could perform complex tasks were a nice thing to have. Though Futo had never thought a need for it before.]

We have another who is interested in the chef position. As I have mentioned before, you do not have to know how to fight. If you can take on the cleaning tasks, then there is still a need for you.

What we need is others to focus on particular tasks, not simply help a little with every task. Every day you must make sure that the same ones are completed. It may seem tedious at first, but it ensures that the quality of the work increases due to familiarity.
