[Nami didn't come to breakfast this morning.

And then Sanji promptly tore the ship apart looking for her, even though the sinking sensation in his stomach at the sight of her empty chair meant he already had an idea what had happened.

She's the third one this week to disappear. To go back home, supposedly.

Davy fucking Jones. Sanji's going to kick his ass.

For now, though, he's busy moping around deck, probably sprawled somewhere in a listless puddle of misery at the loss of his lovely Nami-san and Robin-chan.

And Luffy.

Eventually he decides to be productive and...pulls his journal out to snark at it.

So. Zoro's stepped up to be captain and now we're down a navigator. Deadly combination, means we're doomed to spend the new few weeks sailing in shitty circles, and then we'll probably find a way to sail off the edge of the damn ocean after that.

[Pauses for a beat, and then attempts to inject some positivity into his tone.]

Keimi-chwaaaan, you're our only hope! Save us! Please don't ever leave.

Zoro was content to leave him to it until he checked the journal (for the eight thousandth time, out of some desperate hope that one of their missing crew is just lost/captured/in a pit somewhere and needs to be picked up).

...so now he's trudging over to wherever Sanji is and kicking him rather literally in the ass]

[Oof. Ow. Sanji just glowers up at him, rubbing his backside.]

You didn't hear? He disappeared a few days back. Probably back home now.

[harrumphs, folding his arms]

I'm not gonna touch the wheel! That ain't my job. I'm supposed to decide where to go, though. Right?

[more grumbling. Should've asked Nami about their course before she disappeared, but then, he didn't know she was going to...]

[Squints up at him.]

I thought he had just fallen off of your ship or got lost. He seems like the type to drop his journal and forget where he is.

He is, but he just up and vanished in the middle of the night. That ain't like him, and no one's seen him. Robin-chan went missing at the same time, too.

[Answers maybe a little too quickly, especially since he has no idea if there is one or not.

He pushes himself back up into a sitting position, looking for all the world like it's physically difficult to do so. Which is ridiculous. But he can be melodramatic if he wants to, huff huff. All his ladies are leaving him!!]

I hate everything about today. Has Nami-san turned up anywhere yet?

[no matter what his own feelings on the loss, Zoro isn't about to encourage this melodrama. He just looks away toward the sea, huffing some more.]

No, nothing. She's obviously not on the ship anywhere.

[This is something she feels she should be thrilled by. That guy's been nothing but a pain in her side for the past few months. Still, she can't help but think:]

You know, our captain went missing recently too. She popped right back up on some island far from where we are. Maybe that's where Straw Hat and your other friend is.

[Slumps against the rail of the ship, letting his head thunk back off of it.]

Augh, why, I waited so long for her to turn up here and now she's already gone! Nami-saaaaaaan.

[But then in the next second he's done with that, instead blowing upwards at the hair falling into his eyes as a grumpy expression settles on his face. He looks up at Zoro.]

Do you know how much fucking food we have right now? I don't even know what the hell to do with all that meat, without Luffy here it's gonna take us at least twice as long to get through it.

[stoically ignoring the pining and flailing]

Don't you have other ways of storing it? I know I can eat a lot but not anywhere near as much as Luffy.

[Very soft, a bit somber.]

Nami isn't the only Navigator we have. Keimi is very good at it. [and he's also very good at it. Neither of them will let Zoro navigate!] It's something, until Nami returns to us.

[until they all return. Or they all go home. Bepo never thought he'd miss everyone so much]

Oi, never underestimate Zoro's ability to get lost, that idiot can manage it even when walking from one end of the ship to the other.

[STERN VOICE.

But then he sighs.]

Anyway, I know there are others on board who'll keep us going the right direction. That's why I said we're depending on Keimi-chan. The rest of it... [there's a beat] wasn't serious.

I've noticed. [About Zoro. Sorry man, you're hopeless with directions. It's insane.]

[He gave a deep grunt sound, kind of a hmm in reply. He liked Nami a lot. She was kind of loud and brash but she made sense to him.] I see. Give it a month or two. We'll see them again. [Or all of them will leave and go back home and leave the rest of them here in wonder.---grrr he misses Luffy. this is stupid]

Yeah, we've heard that people turn up again sometimes. Definitely wouldn't complain if that happened, but we can't assume it will. Gotta keep going.

A month or two? What makes you say that?

And feels vaguely guilty. He's got most of it out of his system, but he can save the rest of it for when Zoro isn't standing two feet away.

He waves a hand.]

Of course I can, but it's just... It messes up all my damn meal plans. Now I gotta rework all the menus and stuff, and rethink the calendar. Hell, I just fully stocked the place at Port Chance because I didn't know how long we'd be sailing!

[Makes an annoyed sound. None of what he said is necessarily hard to do... It's just kind of sad. The overstuffed galley is a constant reminder that they're missing three people now.

He lets out another huge sigh.]

They are still here so long as we remember them.

Although I probably ought to start earning my keep some way, shouldn't I?

[he sympathizes with the need to bitch, he really does. Being down a navigator is actually a problem, but they have both Keimi and Bepo, so the rest of it is just missing Nami herself.]

Guess that'll keep you busy for a while.
