[Eventually wanders up from below deck to see what all that yelling was about -- yeah, it took him awhile, but he figured Ning-dude could handle whatever was happening. It didn't exactly sound like they were being overrun by an enemy ship or anything.

He freezes for a moment when he hears that familiar voice, though, and then quite suddenly launches himself across the deck and attempts to tackle Gaius from behind.]

DUDE!! Gaius! You're not dead!

[impossible! he's never heard of anything like that! Yet. He shakes his head, but is saved from making an inane retort by sudden turtle]

[He hears, maybe even senses someone's approach, and with no warning beforehand, it seems that the most sensible thing to do is move- although it's only out of reflex that he nearly follows up with a counter once he ducks the turtle-launch.

[Zooms straight over Gaius' head, but he's got the reflexes (and enough practice from wrestling with his brothers) to recover quickly. He flips midair to save himself from crashing into the railing of the ship, instead catching it with his feet to absorb most of the impact and grabbing the top of it to hold himself in place. Then he looks up and gives a sharp grin—]

Yeah, hey.

[—before pushing off again, arms outstretched, clearly still aiming for that tackle and with less distance between them this time.]

Sorry to interrupt your conversation, bros!

Nah, it's all right. [ducks to one side to let this tackling commence at will, without getting in the way]

[Welp, he's not dodging that one- or rather he's a little touched that he's been missed this much. Wondering just how much giant green turtle weighs only strikes him as an afterthought, but by then he's crashing against the deck.]

[Oof. But still, he can't help but laugh a little. He pats the side of Raph's face.]

But at least he doesn't stay on him for any lengthy amount of time, just long enough to get in a victory cheer! Complete with pumping his fists in the air. Then he's rolling off to the side and squatting beside him. He shoots their captain another grin and a nod, but then he's back to looking at Gaius.]

What happened? Cynthia kept insisting you fell off the island or something totally lame like that.

[Stares at, hoping she was wrong.

[Hmm, yeah, Cynthia. She needs to know but...that might not turn out to be so easy. Gan Ning pushes himself up to his feet.]

[and he's off, jingling his way to the galley.]

[Gaius levels himself to sit again, smiling lopsidedly at Raphael- for all of several seconds.]

I don't know- I'm barely remembering when I was back here the first time around...

[He glances at Gan Ning, nodding as he lifts a hand.]

Yeah... Didn't realize how much I missed until I got back here.

[Gaius shrugs, shaking his head.]

Kinda hard to say when I thought I'd been home all that time. Jingles says it's been about a month that I've been missing, though.

[Rolls his eyes.]

Well I know that much, I've had to listen to Cynthia mope about it for that long.

[And, you know, be quietly worried about it himself.]

Bah, never mind, guess it doesn't matter. The important thing is you're back. [Pauses.] ...You probably don't want to be, but whatever. Right? We'll have to have a celebration pizza or something.

...actually... I may not have remembered it until now, but...it's nice to be back.

Kind of annoying to think I forgot everything that happened here, but now I know I better make the most of it.
