[After hitting land after a week of sailing, Justice's first priorities had been to survey the area, investigate what troubles had been plaguing the small coarse community he had found himself in. He'd spent a lot of time pondering over the wanted posters put on the walls. Only after having settled himself in the room he had rented out in a saloon did he take the time to actually look over his stuff, and discovered what he felt had to be shared.]

There's more to these maps than what meets the eye. They were obviously enchanted, but the nature of which has been unclear until now. Previously there had only been two islands marked on the map: Isle Empieza and "Gun Frontier Island". At some point after reaching said island, the map decided to reveal more of itself. There are countless more names now, surrounding the island I am on; some are noted to be nearby, other are far off and crowding themselves at the edges. Even without the obscuring it's hard to make sense of, but I can say this: there's a lot of places to hide things on this ocean.

I can believe it, after reading what the Dog said.

What kind of island is Gun Frontier? How long did it take you to get there? How big is it?

[A pause in the writing happened at this point, ink dripping onto the page before he continued.]

Forgive me. I'm very interested in everything in this world, and I want to know what everyone finds.

[There's a pause as Piers jots the information down in a small folio that he found to keep track of his own notes. They'll be useful in the future-- he knew it.]

A desert island then. Do you remember the direction you set sail from, or did the storm knock you off course as well?

Without the Dog's weather reports, no. Those and the map we have are the only reason I have any idea of where my crew is at.

You were lucky.

In part.

I also plan to use it as part of a document with information about these islands. For everyone to use.

I have my reasons to find it, but I am still a cartographer. There is no reason to not practice while I search.

A bird cannot help but fly. It looks like we're the same as one.

[That's a very familiar name for him. Though he'd just as interested in the news about the map.]
Is that one of the ones from Backwater Brig? I'll have to check with Captain he has our map locked down rather tight.
So it's called Gun Frontier Island? Watch you back few places back where I'm from with that nickname are rather ruff.

Gun Frontier Island? That's not what was marked on ours.

Sounds... pleasant. The only named one on ours was called Green Breeze Island.

If that is how the maps normally work, you actually just helped confirm our location: I just checked and it's all filled in now. So thanks for the heads-up.

[At least one good thing came out of getting shipwrecked.]
