004 | Harry Potter | [ Voice ]

[ Some of you may or may not recognize the voice over the Journal as belonging to one Harry Potter, the boy who lived. It's been awhile and he's just been informed what month it is so he's feeling a bit awkward and very confused. But hey! at least he's getting free food! ]

So apparently it's not actually February anymore and I've been gone a few months.

I was on the ship Charming Murderess until-well, for me it was just yesterday-but the point is-does anyone know where my-er crew is?

I know the name's a bit-er... alarming but I don't think anyone on it was actually a murderer. Hopefully that's not changed.

O-oh... [ He says awkwardly. It's not that he's not flattered but he's already lost his parents and Cedric to that murderer and he doesn't want to lose anyone else. ]

I don't-I mean thanks but-he's a murderer. I've seen him kill before.

And I have killed before. [Said so easily by a fourteen year old boy.]

He would be a wizard also, correct? Requiring a conduit in the form of a wand? Or is he beyond that.

Well, he uses a wand but I don't think everyone in the wizarding world actually needs one. The wand helps but I can still do a bit of magic without it-sort of. It's mostly accidental on my part though.

But Voldemort-the man I'm talking about-knows a killing spell that only one person's been known to have survived. [ That being him but eh details. ]

This spell - does it require a wand? Does it require him to speak words?

[Even if Draco seems useless sometimes, Itachi understands the wizarding potential. One never knows what they'll find themselves up against here, so he has to study everyone.]

I think so. I mean-I've never seen it done without a wand. But I'm not exactly the best person to ask about this kind of stuff-I didn't even know I was a wizard until I turned eleven.

But you are no longer eleven, meaning you've had time to live in that world and learn about it. If he has been after you, then surely you've learned something of his capabilities.

[Knowing one's enemy is important.]

Actually no, not really. I mean he's kind of been out of power for last fourteen years and a lot of people are too afraid to even say his name not to mention don't want to believe he's back.

So they aren't taking proper precautions?

Fear is natural, but too much fear only builds upon itself. Tell me, or more importantly my brother, what you know of this man. If he threatens you, he threatens all of us. Therefore it's our concern as well and it's important that the captain knows about it.

Nope. Actually, they've labeled me and anyone that says different a liar. [ Kind of an abrupt change from the near-hero status he'd had just a few months ago. ]

Thanks but I'd really rather no one else got killed for my sake.

[What terrible planning. Difficult foes weren't defeated by ignoring the threat. Some influence of his clearly affected the higher-ups.

His tone shifts slightly.]

I think you're mistaking that statement as a request.

Our crew needs to be aware of potential threats in order to best decide how to handle the issue. Should he appear, they are more likely to die if uninformed.

[ Well he can't exactly deny that as being true. If you're not expecting it you can't defend against it. ]

Well, I suppose that's true, but I've already given him a brief run down of Voldemort. It's me he'll want. There's no reason anyone else should get hurt.

[ Not that he won't try to fight if it comes to it but his first priority will be to keep everyone else safe as much as possible. ]
