Good day, Sabers. With a few details of the "Great Ghost Race" revealed to us, it is time to begin discussing our intended course of action.

The Sabers shall be participating in the race, though details beyond that are still up in the air. I would say that our primary goal needs to be ensuring that the Corpse King cannot get a hold of the grand prize. And if he does... Well, we steal it from him. But we are going to make sure that does not happen, aren't we?

Regardless, it is time to start sharing and discussing any initial thoughts or developing strategies as the race date draws nearer. Your input is, as always, appreciated.

There is a sense of togetherness among those who have been displaced here. We have fought battles side by side, united against the common enemy of the Navy.

A theft from one of our fellow ships would be almost painfully easy, though I am unwilling to betray the mutual trust that we have built with one another. That is not how I work, and not a mindset I wish for this crew.

Where would this mutual trust lead you if the ruby only grants its power to a small handful of us taken?

That is a problem we will solve if it rises. For all that we have learned of the gem, it is an object of far greater power than the man who brought us here. There is nothing to be done but be confident in the knowledge we have gathered.

Are you certain it would not be too late at that point?

What knowledge have you gathered?

I have not the faintest clue if it is too early or too late for anything.

From what we have gathered as a whole, this ruby we are trying to assemble grants wishes. Whether there is a limit to those wishes is unclear. Not even those who lived here originally know everything about it, but it would serve you well to always pay mind to Scurvy Dog's announcements. She can be a bit difficult, so to speak, but her information is valuable, and she is the only reason we know as much as we do.

So you would rather believe in the uncertainty that the ruby is powerful enough to grant a wish that would allow all of us taken to find a way home, even though it may prove later to be limited. You may spend the rest of your life lost here for the sake of trust in other captives.

[Not like she cared if he stayed or not, but it would be more work for her to do once it appeared that all the shards were retrieved.]

None of this is about my life. I am dead, in my home. This is about getting those who need to home. The simple fact is that we cannot face the threat of the Navy on our own, and we need to trust in the other captives whether we like it or not.

How much harm has the navy done and how large are their numbers?

[forhylia]

They are an entire fleet. They were able to barricade Isla Empieza from us, and it took the combined effort of nearly all the captives to drive them out. They have killed many of us, and are a force to be reckoned with.

[... She can understand the need for the other captives now.]

Very well, I suppose the other captives have use to us with this trust... but what is your plan when the ruby is near complete?

[forhylia]

I think that depends on how the other ships publicly handle the situation. Many of those trapped here are highly moral, perhaps even more than I. I think it is more likely that the group as a whole will make a combined effort to get home. Nobody even knows how many shards there are.

As the ruby nears what we assume to be completion, I think the best we will be able to do is keep our eyes open and plan as things unfold.

[Not that he's reckless or anything, pff.]

[If he wanted to be like that, she wouldn't stop him. It would be one less person to think about ruining her plans, since she had no intention of telling anyone what they were and others wouldn't know until it was too late.]

Even so, we should still focus on obtaining as many shards as possible to cover any 'change in heart' the other captives may feel as the months go on. With that in mind, you should have a plan to win the race against the other captives instead of just the 'Corpse King'.

It has been my intention from the start to win this race. You can count on that.

Do you have any methods in mind to ensure this?

[forhylia]

I think the rules are straightforward enough. We take advantage of our smaller numbers as well as we can. We will not be able to make a final plan until we have our assigned map in our hands.

And should we need to battle or incapacitate other captives for the tokens on the islands, you will do this?

[forhylia]

If it comes to that, yes. Though I would prefer to avoid it if possible.
