Δ private voice to the Howling Sabers Δ

((OOC: There has been a post about preliminary plotting for the race in the crew comm over here! Please go indicate your character's preference if you haven't already.))

Good day, Sabers. With a few details of the "Great Ghost Race" revealed to us, it is time to begin discussing our intended course of action.

The Sabers shall be participating in the race, though details beyond that are still up in the air. I would say that our primary goal needs to be ensuring that the Corpse King cannot get a hold of the grand prize. And if he does... Well, we steal it from him. But we are going to make sure that does not happen, aren't we?

Regardless, it is time to start sharing and discussing any initial thoughts or developing strategies as the race date draws nearer. Your input is, as always, appreciated.

I could help with the race as well if the captain decides against taking me, but his chances at success would decrease dramatically. He's likely to find himself in a trap as it is.

I'm not overconfident at all. I've said before that my predictions are prophecies. I have no doubt that things will turn out the way I've calculated.

[He has yet to experience a scenario where there's no way for him to win. Certainly there have been times when variables outside his control have forced him to alter his plans, but not once has he been faced with a failure that it was out of his control to prevent.]

You can only be overconfident if you put so much faith in your own abilities that you fail to account for your own failure. I take it into account and plan accordingly.
