He fell off the cloud!! He was...and I...and he...i-if anyone sees a man in the water or any area along the south waters underneath Quarzo Roza. He's ginger with a headband and he wears a black cloak. He goes by the name of Gaius.

[Moments later, one would find her hiding behind some barrels in the darkest corner of the galley, crying. It should be understandable though. She literally just watched her closest friend fall off a cloud and get swallowed by the sea. That's not something one could just get over.]

He fell off the cloud island we were on. I tried sending my pokemon after him. But they couldn't find him.

[he was off exploring, but that makes him come running back at high speed, bells ringing shrilly. She's not in the quartz hut, so she must be at the ship]

[ Cynthia sat quietly in her dark little corner. Face buried in her hands in an attempt to hide her sobbing. She just saw her closest friend die except...you know...he didn't actually and she had absolutely no idea how to properly handle the situation. ]

[oh, there she is. Well, not surprising but still.]

Come on! Tell me what happened! Do we need to haul anchor and get back down to the water or what?

[ She wipes away a few tears. Urgh, of all the people to find her crying, it had to be the captain. How embarrassing. ]

One minute I saw him standing just a few feet outside the house. I turn my head for a split second and suddenly he was gone. Even my pokemon couldn't find a single trace of him...

Just gone? You're sure he fell?

[because even now he's not sure Donatello didn't die in the ocean rather than just disappear...but there have been lots of disappearances lately...]

Normally, yeah. Normally when you're poisoned to death or shot, you don't reappear a few days later totally fine, either, but you've seen for yourself that Roxas is just fine and I can vouch for Kairi being pretty healthy, too. Death doesn't last here for us. Just another reason why this place is so screwy.

[That was one reason why it rubbed him so wrong that there were plans in place to kill Navy officers in revenge for Kairi's death. One: Kairi was alive and well again by the time the plans were made. Two: Natives didn't just pop back up a few days later if you killed them. Funny how he was made out to be the unreasonable one in that discussion.]
