You know what I love? I love love stories! Ya know, the kind where two people fall in love and no matter what, no matter what stupid or horrible or nasty things happen, they know they'll always be there for one another, through it all, right to the end!~

Well, you'll never guess what I found? ...a love story! It was just kinda sitting around stuck to the deck of the Moon, so I picked it up to see what it was. Not a bounty poster, but a love story! It's so adorable, and amazing, and it also has me in it! Are you ready for it?

*There's a giggle before Selphie takes a small breath, calming herself and putting on her story reading voice*

It's called Sun and Moon.

Moon glanced away shyly as Sun came closer to her, not till he was touching but close enough that the creatures running a muck on their decks could cross from one to the other. He tended to get closer than was needed, from time to time. A small whistle. A happy chirp, a simple wink in her direction.

It was love. She couldn't think of any other ship out there that she would want to sail with for this long. Oh there had been others. Friends and what not. But none of them were as handsome nor as charming as Sun.

He nudged into her softly one day, a simple brush up to get her attention. It was barely a tap. She groaned at the movement and giggled.

You see - the ships are totally flirting! I knew it all along!

On deck the crews of creatures started to yell.

Someone hollered “Who let Marco drive!?”

Someone else called “I thought you were seasoned pirates!’

Someone still sighed lovingly, leaning over the railing to look down at the two of them.

That's me! That's me sighing lovingly! Tee hee!~

“Selphie, stop daydreaming and give me a hand.” Someone called to the girl, and she giggled, waved at the two ships, and bounced off. “I’m coming!”

Moon blushed, pulling slightly behind Sun, drifting near his wake but never too close, never too far. He was perfect in her eyes, in every way.

Isn't that the most adorable ship romance you have ever heard?

Please don't send me your compliments for the story - remember, it wasn't me that wrote it. And I'm not just saying that. If I'd written this, I'd totally tell everyone! But if you wanna say some nice stuff, then who knows, maybe the mystery romance writer will make themself known!

Huh, well... that's interesting, that you found it, I mean. Yes. What a odd concept though. Ships in love. And what are the Dippers?

The Dippers? You mean for the story? Maybe they're in love too. Or maybe... Maybe they're the Sun and Moon's babies!

Hmm, perhaps. Though they come from vastly different backgrounds. I wonder if the one feels like it's been captures and dragged along as a prisoner, or if it's happy to be here. I heard you guys stole one.

Oh... I see.

But - but - Oh no. Is the Dipper really sad? Was it taken away from its friends? Or maybe even its girlfriend?

*Selphie is sounding rather concerned about all of this now*

[She's so kicked back some where now, hands behind her head and feet up, thinking about this.]

Maybe. Or maybe he had nothing going for him. He was some low ranking Navy Boat just sitting there doing nothing of important. A fail life with fail Navy goons who take care of him, but didn't love him. This this fish man and his band of merry thieves came by one day and took off with him. At first he was upset. How dare they! It's against protocol for pirates to steer Navy ships! The nerve. And then he was tied to the back of another ship, maid to trail behind and isn't even lived in. Used.

Maybe he thinks this isn't any better. But then these Spade pirates start taking care of him as well. Like they do with all ships, because all ships have a soul. Maybe he's slowly changing his mind. Slowly warming up to them all. Clearly it's a story set for an epic.

Oh...

*Selphie is all ears, listening very attentively to the story*

Oh! Oh I really hope he is! I really hope he's happier here! We do look after him. And - maybe we should take him out for more adventures, so that he can see the world is a good and happy place!

Can't hurt. It's always good to get a ship out and stretch it's sails. the more you love them the more they'll work hard for you in the end. Take the Sun for instance. You all could have upgraded by stealing a bigger ship back when you guys got the Moon. One ship, less hassle, less worry over who is where. But by getting the second ship, it's a sign of devotion to the Sun. In a battle, Sun will no doubt be stronger then it would have been before. And now the Moon is with it, and the Moon is well loved and taken care of as well? She'll no doubt stand true in a real test over her livelihood.

[all serious tones now] The sail boats. They're smaller but just as much of the crew as the two lager ships are.

Then I'm gonna go sailing! I'm gonna make sure that the Dippers are happy too, and that they feel loved, and strong, and like people really care about them! I don't want anyone on our ships feeling ignored or anything like that, even the boats themselves!

You're right, Haruta. You are so right!

[She's grinning now. Feeling much better about things]

It's a good idea. I know they get out. But it can't hurt to get out more and more. You should talk to Marco about ships too. I bet it's him. He knows a lot about ships and spirits and love.

[sorry Marco, had to toss that last bit in...]

Don't you worry - I definitely will! Marco does know a lot about a lot of things...

*At least, whenever she's spoken to him about love before he's sure sounded like he knows what he's talking about*

I just hope that whoever it is writes more, and isn't scared to share them. It'd be fun to read little romantic stories about the crew members too, I think!

Doesn't he? It's because he's a old bird. Oh, he looks young and soft faced, but he's god some years on me. [and most everyone else, really...]

Huh, about the crew too? Like who?

He's sure a cutie for an old guy!

*Selphie giggles at that, then takes a moment to consider the romantic relations of the rest of her crew*

Let's see... There's Leanne and Naesala - they're the cutest couple ever! Then...Thatch and Marco, obviously. And Marco and Robin too! Uhm... Chandra. Chandra and a pretty lady! But I dunno who. Or Chandra and Ace are kinda sweet. Also, I heard rumours that Logan has a girl he likes on some other ship, but I've never met her. So there's quite a few!

*Not mentioning her own relationship in there...yet*

Ug, yeah, I guess he can be cute sometimes, when he's not trying to peck your hair out or something. [clearly teasing. Marco knows he's cute.]

Hmmm, yes, yes. Good ideas. I wouldn't mind reading something about Thatch and Marco actually. [devious grin. Are they that obvious here? How cute] And anything with Leanne has to be adorable. Chandra though... [Mmmm. Chandra is hot. Pardon her while she considers what she knows about Chandra naked--oh right. Stories. Cute stories. Right]

I wouldn't bug Ace too much with them. And damn, you've got a scoop on almost everyone, huh?

*Selphie just blinks as Haruta doesn't finish what she was saying about Chandra. Then she smiles to herself as she wonders if maybe Haruta and Chandra would make an interesting story to write about*

Yeah. Ace would probably just get really annoyed if someone wrote something like this about him. Actually...so would Aya probably...

*She giggles though, nodding at her journal*
