Ah, I wonder if everyone is back to themselves, yet... [Clears his throat.] Yes, well, for those who are, I have a bit of a request. As a music artist, it's my duty to sing and spread my music so you all can buy CDs and such. But more importantly, I'd like to hear music from your worlds, so I can grow as an artist!

I know that not everyone is musically inclined, which is perfectly fine! I can work with that. Somehow.

If someone is willing to allow me to visit them for such an endeavor, I would be grateful! Of course I'd help out around the ship during my visit. Simply hearing a performance over these journals is so...impersonal.

Oh, wasn't there a mention of some music show? I hope I didn't miss it!

Haven't heard anythin' else about the show, but maybe they're waitin' for things to settle. It's been pretty strange around here.

Strange is an understatement. It's probably the only good thing to come about from this event; that it probably has delayed things about the show.

When do you think I'd be able to listen to the songs you have? It's been such a long time since I've hooked up any music player to my system!

I have a shamisen, myself, so I would really love to hear the koto being played again!

It's really impressive you know how to play one! It's been dying out as of late.

That is terrible. Why, forgetting the koto would be like forgetting the beauty of Japanese music!

Exactly! It's a vital part of our culture! Even in other cultures, it's mostly associated with Japan! I wish there was more promotion about it.

Forgive me, I have never heard of digital data. I am aware of the Phonautograph, the process of Photoengraving as well as the Phonograph, but I have never heard the phrase "digital data" used.

Digital media works the same way, but with advanced computers engraving music onto the small discs. Digital just means a sequence of numbers and formulas are created to make the information we input electronically.

Ah! [Haruka exclaimed] That’s a wonderful idea Gakupo-kun! I’ve been wondering how to best work on my musical studies while I’m here as well, I didn’t think about the prospect of visiting other ships like this.

I’m sure there is a lot that we both can learn about music from the diverse number of cultures present here.
