He seems to be some sort of sea god or some such entity.... He at least rules over the seas.

He raises the dead, and little else from what I have observed. Our purpose appears to act as pirates.

Perhaps he simply cheats death rather than raising the dead. Such resurrections are possible.

This is another world than yours, the rules are a bit different. For example I am not what you would call a "muggle" but I am also not what you would call... what was the word? "Witch"? Though I am capable of using magic.

Nay, I am currently what is called a Shikaisen, an immortal hermit. Before that I was quite human, and could still use magic freely.

However, I am the descendant of a god.
