A whole ocean...and not a single cruiseliner with a casino.
What in the hell does anyone do for fun around here? There are people round here that know how to play poker, right?
...
I'm going for another nap. Someone wake me up when something interesting happens.
[action]
*Faye lays on a bashful expression, fluttering her eye lashes at him, before she settles for grabbing a random beer*
Sure, I like stir fry. But as a general rule, I'll eat anything.
*She grabs a nearby chair and sits, happy to watch Akira while he works*
Re: [action]
[After getting a contained fire going, he puts in the ingredients and liberally applies a few oils. It doesn't take long for a good sizzle to start.]
I should probably make enough for multiple people, in case anyone else comes down here.
[action]
Akira, has anyone ever told you you're the perfect guy?
Re: [action]
[He goes over a list of recipes in his head, trying to figure out something with wide appeal. Nothing too spicy, or too mild. Somewhere juuuuust in the middle...]
I think I've got it. This won't take too long.
I can't wait to get to shore. I need to get away from this ship, too.
[action]
*She sighs a little and flops back completely on the chair, swinging a leg at the side. Though she's been listening, she waves a hand like she's not interested*
Yeah, yeah, you hate us all. We understand.
Re: [action]
[He thinks as he flips the food around in the pan, adding fresh oils.]
What I am, it comes with benefits, sensory perception being one. My sense are getting strong every day, and the more they grow, the more something on this ship doesn't seem right. I'm not quite sure what it is, yet, but SOMETHING here is puttin' my instincts on edge.
Especially Grell. I can't tell why, but I just don't trust her. This ship looks fantastic, but I can't shake this undefinable discomfort.
[action]
*She glances at the stir frying from the corner of her eyes before focusing on the bottle in her hands*
Could be. There's a guy who claims to be thousands of years old. And there's another guy who's half shark half human. Both of those probably smell pretty weird.
Re: [action]
I've met the shark-man, and he seems alright. A little hot-headed maybe, but not too bad. Don't think I've talked to this other guy. What's his name?
[action]
The shark man is cute. I mean, he needs to learn a lot about being around human women, but I think he'll cope. The other guy is Arthur.
Re: [action]
[action]
Bold eyebrows. Sure. That's him.
Re: [action]
[He does a taste test to see how it's coming along, then adds in a bit more salt and pepper.]
I wonder if we have any chicken. I really wish we lived in a refrigerator age.
[action]
*Faye puts down her still mostly full bottle and stretches up off the chair*
Hmm. I don't think so. This world is just so backwards.
*And she'll shuffle over to stand beside him, so she can get a proper look at what he's doing*
Re: [action]
[He picks up a spoon and grabs some, letting her take it from him.]
One thing doesn't have to do with the other. Regardless of whether or not I have a valid reason for being a little off-put, I'm a guest. It's not my place to dig into it. I know Grell isn't a human, that's for sure. She didn't tell me what she was.
[action]
More zing. Just a little.
*Then she passes over the spoon and licks her lips - yup, Akira was a keeper, alright*
Not human? And I guess you pick up animals, huh? So what the hell is she, then?
Re: [action]
[action]
*Yes, Akira, Faye is definitely thinking that you're wimping out on everything*
Re: [action]
[action]
*Faye shrugs and goes back to her chair to flop down on it*
Besides, we didn't even go to war in the end, did we?
Re: [action]
[action]
*She couldn't help a small smirk, because that was kind of amusing. But not really, because Akira is so serious*
Well, I'm sure he's very sorry. Or something. I knew nothing about any of that. Anyway, it isn't your rudder anymore, is it?
Re: [action]
[He does a few more checks before taking the skillet off the fire.]
Okay, this should be enough for everybody, provided they don't want seconds. Dump that bucket of sand on the fire, would you?
[action]
*Grudgingly, she stands back up, and promptly puts out the fire, before standing beside Akira to look over the food*
I don't know. At this rate I might have thirds.
Re: [action]
[action]
*She fetches a couple of bowls, and a couple of spoons - being on a ship with British people apparently meant a lack of chop sticks around*
